I woke up to see the sun shining through the window into my face.

I looked at my bedside table at my clock. It was 7:30.

"Primrose, wake up! It's the first day of your new school," Dad called from the kitchen. I slowly dragged myself out of bed and walked into my en-suite. As I opened my eyes, I saw my face in the mirror. Ugh! I was a mess! My hair stuck up and my face was red from my warm bed! On the outside I was grumpy but on the inside I was jumping up and down with excitement!

I skipped happily down the stairs as my grin on my face stretched from ear to ear. As it was a posh, fancy school, I now had to wear a uniform. I have to wear a white shirt with a blue tie and a blazer with a short skirt. At my old school, we used to wear our own clothes.

"Morning my little Primrose!" Mum exclaimed.

"Morning!" I replied.

"All set for Deenville School, are you?" Dad asked

"You bet I am!" I answered, " I'm going to make so many new friends!"

The bus came at 8:00 and I was all set to go. I said goodbye to my parents.

"Bye mum, bye dad! I love you both so much!" I exclaimed.

"Bye sweetie, enjoy your first day!" Mum replied.

I got on the bright, yellow bus and sat talk the front seat.

I arrived at the school at 8:10 and went straight to the secretary's office. She talked about the school for about ten minutes, gave me my timetable and said I could leave her office.

My locker number was 146. I strolled around the new halls and

eventually found my locker. My first class was English. I grabbed my books and made my way to the classroom.
Ding dong. Ding dong.

"First class!" I exclaimed. I walked into the English classroom. Oops! I was late. There was a lonely seat at the front of the classroom. I guess that seat was mine.

" Ah, Miss Brown- your the new student- take a seat" the teacher said, " I'm Miss Maguire". I looked around the colourful classroom and was already feeling happy.

"As a new student here, obviously, nobody knows you- so I would like you to make a presentation to the class about yourself " Miss Maguire explained.

I nervously strolled up to the front of the classroom.

" Hello everyone, my name is Primrose " I stuttered.

Unexpectedly, the whole class burst out laughing. I was horrified. I looked over at the teacher. She was even sniggering. I held back tears as I continued, " I'm 15 years old and I am the only child in my family". There was silence for a few seconds. Miss Maguire started clapping and eventually the class joined in. I went back to my seat wishing I was back at my old school, with my friends that loved my name and now here I was with people laughing at my name.

After English, I went back to my locker to get my maths book, as maths was my next class. Three girls came up to me and one said " Hey, em, Primrose- so are you sure that your name is actually Primrose or is it something normal?" .

" What do you mean?" I asked, even though I did know. They were making fun of my name.

" Well, it's just, your different" they giggled and walked off. I can't believe they actually had the nerve to say that to my face. I had a bad feeling about this horrible school. Maths was no better than English. It was the same people. The boy that sat behind me, sneakily, pinned a note to the back of my blazer saying ' pick me- I'm a flower'. I didn't notice it until I was in the bathroom. I noticed it in the mirror. And when I read what it said, I was raging with anger. Soon all that anger turned to tears. I was being bullied and there was nothing I could do to stop it.
