The next morning I decided to call Cameron to pick up my wallet, I had no idea if he would actually answer since his phone was, well, let's face it, it's the worst phone I've ever seen. I dialed the number and it started to ring.

"Hello?" A girl's voice answered the phone and it wasn't Nisha, that's odd "who is this?"

"Casey" I answered "Casey Smith"

"Oh my god hi" the girl practically screamed into the phone "It's Brin, remember me" I almost slapped myself for being such an idiot, of course, it was Cameron's little sister

"Oh, of course, I haven't seen you in so  long Brin" I smiled "Is your brother there?"

"Yeah, he is, he just spit his chocolate milk out all over the counter," Brin told me with a giggle,

"That sounds like Cameron" I laughed "So I left something in his truck yesterday and I was wondering if I could come to pick it up" I held the phone as I crossed the street to their house, I hadn't been in it in ages and I wondered how it would feel

"Yeah, sure!" she said happily "when do you want to come to pick it up?"

"Now?" I rang the doorbell

"Oh, now now" she sounded very surprised "Ok, hold on" I hung up and waited outside looking at the porch, it was so familiar and rather nostalgic "Hi" she squealed throwing the door open

"Brin" I cried reaching to give her a hug which she gladly accepted, she looked so old but I mean the last time I saw her she was like 4 years younger

"Come in" she waved inside the house and I stepped inside cautiously, the looks and the smells were exactly the same, it was quite comforting if I'm being honest

"Oh thanks" I grinned as Brin handed me my wallet, we walked into the kitchen where there were two very large boxes stuffed with, well I'm not sure

"What's all this stuff?" Cameron asked walking into the room

"It's from dad," Brin told him "they just got here" wait, where was their dad? was he away on a work trip? something told me he wasn't on a trip though

"Gifts? what's the occasion?" I asked

"It's stupid" Cameron mumbled

"Our dad lives in Sweden now," Brin told me "he sends us these all-in-one presents like once a year, kinda like Christmas, Hanukkah, and our birthdays all in one" I frowned when had their parents separated? why didn't Cameron say anything? I felt horrible that I hadn't been there for them, after all, they were there for me

"Seriously" Cameron pulled out a colorful horse "a doorstop"

"Hmm, coloring books, crayons, and Swedish Helga barbie" Brin pulled out the doll and I cringed, that was the ugliest thing, worse than Cameron's phone

"Quite a haul, if you're eight" Cameron rolled his eyes

"At least he's trying"

"Well I disagree"

"It's the thought that counts right?" I spoke up

"Case, how would you feel if your dad sent you these random ass things," Cameron said picking up the doorstop again

"Pretty good," I told him "we don't get anything from my dad" there was an awkward silence and none of us were brave enough to break it except for Cameron and Brin's grandma

"Casey? is that you? she called from her spot by the T.V

"Hi, Ms.Kweller," I said happily walking over
