Hinatas pov
"alright let's raise a toast to our good friend naruto" Lee yelled
"to naruto!" we clinked glasses.
I stared at narutos smiling face the whole time. I've been in love with naruto since the day he saved me from those bullies. He got beaten up in the process but that act of bravery really opened my eyes. It made me what to improve myself. Now the boy I've loved for years and never managed to confess to is now leaving the village.
Neji took a seat next to me "you know hinata after today you won't see naruto again for three years. I suggest you make your move now before you regret it"
"your right! Thank you nii-chan" I smiled greatfully. We've grown so much closer since the insident at the chunin exams. I'm so glad to have someone who can give me this kind of encouragement.
I went outside where naruto was looking up at the stars. He caught sight of me and smiled.
"hey hinata. Sorry I'm not inside with the others. I just wanted to get one last look at the village before I go"
"Umm naruto there's s-something I want to tell you" I muttered nervously.
"sure. What is it hinata?" naruto looked at me expectingly.
"I-I-I" oh no. My nerves are getting the better of me. I can't force the words out. Come on hinata you gotta do something. You can't just freeze! So I did something crazy.
I kissed him on the forehead.
Naruto looked at me in surprise "why'd you do that hinata?"
"Umm I- ahhhh" I lost my composer and ran away. Oh kami what have I done!?
