I was tired.

none of that emotional stuff, I was physically tired, I only got about 2 hours of sleep last night, as you do when you run away and sleep in a shady lodging house.

Anyways, I am currently sitting on a small wooden bench at Basilweather station in the same green dress from the previous night, I had decided it would be easier for me to move around and stay hidden from my family if I didn't have my trunk with me, it was only slowing me down, so on my way to the station I purchased myself a small bag:

In which I had packed all of my money, my favourite bracelet that my mother had given to me on my 14th birthday, it was very special to me and I have never not kept it with me, I also packed a small firsts aid kit that consisted of a few needles and medical grade string, some bandages and a small glass bottle of antiseptic alcohol. And lastly I had packed a silver pocket Knife that my martial arts teacher gave to me for protection, I know a woman learning martial arts it frowned upon but my mother thought it important that I learn to defend myself, and so I did. My father was obviously not involved in that decision.

Anyways, I am now sitting on a small wooden bench awaiting my train, holding onto my bag tightly. shortly after my train had arrived perfectly on time.

I boarded the train as soon as it had came to a stop, I smiled politely to the conductor who tipped his hat to me and returned the smile kindly, I walked past a few compartments until I came across an empty one with only a large duffel bag on top of one of the racks. I sat down and stared blankly out of the window. Merely minutes later the train came to a slow start before speeding up and moving at a comfortable speed.

around 2 minutes later a sudden movement caught my eye coming from the bag opposite me. I heard a few grunt and groans and saw something moving inside it, I walked over to the bag  curiously and slowly undid the zip, revealing a young boy squashed inside.

"Is this what trains are like?" I asked, genuinely curious if this was normal, as I had only ever been on a train once and I was 3 at the time.

The boy stumbled out of the bag, obviously forgetting how high up he was as he seemed surprised when he fell about half a metre to the ground.

He groaned before sitting up, once he noticed me he seemed to straighten up, improving his posture and smoothing out his jacket.

"Hello." he said plainly with a stiff smile.

"uh, Hello?" I said asking for a bit of context.

"Oh right- uhm, I'm in escaping you see" he stated.

"right. May I ask, what the hell?" I replied.

"Uhm sorry if I startled you, I uh didn't think anybody would be in here."

I raised my eyebrow.

"you didn't think anybody would be on a public train?" I said.

"well no- anyways lets start over shall we. I am viscount Tewkesbury, The marquess of Basilweather." he said sticking out his hand
