A city, Just your average city with people hurrying to their average jobs with their average clothes. The noise was deafening but also silent. Background, Cieran assumed. It was all faded, as if he was viewing the world through a dirty camera lens. There was someone standing there, in the middle of the busy streets. All the average people passing were faded and blurry, but she was very clear, frighteningly so. She was extremely pretty, a near perfect face that would've been inviting if not for the reason why it was "near" perfect. Half of her head was wrapped in dirty bandages, her clothes scorched and torn. She looked very... sad, that was the only way to describe it. Cieran slowly began to walk up to her, entranced by her, wanting to see more of her, to get a closer look. When he got within arms reach she suddenly sprouted colorless wings from her back, the wings were fading in and out. Cieran's eyes refused to focus on them, as if the wings deliberately forced his gaze away from them, as if they didn't exist, or at least, were not supposed to. He took another step forward and she flew backwards away from him in one swift and powerful flick of her wings and hovered in the air, unmoving. Her sad face contorted into a look of despair and anger as she started yelling at Cieran with tears streaming down her once perfect face, "you didn't once look at me! We were f̷̳̫̆r̷̢̋̀͘i̷̛̱͗e̶̡̲̊n̶̲͈̝̉̉d̸̦̮̟̀͝ș̷̆ and you look at me just now!?" She screamed with anger and heartbreak. When she screamed down at him, her bandages loosened. Under the piles of bandages, her body was marked with burns, her flesh was curling and blackened. She had a furious look of despair on her face for a second more, then wiped her face and disappeared. Not suddenly, but not slowly either, as if she had fallen between the rifts of reality, as the rest of the world did too, something ticked in Cieran's head.
"...Seraphina?" He didn't know this name, but his subconscious did. A dim light appeared in response, then slowly faded, there was nothing.
