Winter's Fever. || Zhongli X Childe

Part 3

The rest of the day they hung out the whole time. It was very cold out so they went to get hot chocolate at a local store. They then went home for the rest of the night.

"That was a blast!" Childe smiled taking off his coat and putting it on the hanger.

"It was very fun, thanks for paying for everything." Zhongli smiled sweetly with his cheeks red from the cold.

Childe blushed and let out a big smile. But he couldn't help but notice that Zhongli seemed a bit sad. Wonder why. Better not to ask.

"Well, I'm exhausted, shall we go to bed?" Childe patted Zhongli's shoulder while walking over to the bedroom, "We shall." Zhongli walked to the bedroom to get ready for bed also.

"Can we have another perfect day tomorrow?.." Zhongli yawned while hugging Childe in bed. "Of course." Childe smiled and ran his finger through Zhongli's hair.

"Childe.." Zhongli's voice changed, he sounded more miserable.

"Yeah? Something wrong?" Childe looked at him.

"I'm sorry." Zhongli yawned after he said that and immediately went to sleep.

"Sorry..?" Childe looked confused.

"Sorry for what Zhongli?" Childe asked, "Oh, you're asleep.. alright, we'll, I love you. Goodnight." Childe went to sleep with a bunch of questions going through his mind.
