Safety of a Titan

Chapter 1

Year 847 (Harutos POV)

"The 104th Cadet Corps Class entrance ceremony will now begin! You have the misfortune of having me, Keith Sadies as your commandant, I do NOT welcome you warmly! In your current state, you'd be nothing but food for the Titans, you're just mere livestock! You're even less then livestock! Over the next three years, we're going to train you worthless nothings and teach you how to fight Titans! Three years from now, when you come face-to-face with the Titans, will you still be fodder for them?! Will you serve as an honorable barrier that protects the king?! Or will you be a glorious soldier for humanity that drives the Titans out!? It's up to you to deicide!"

I watch the old man named 'Keith Sadies' scream out to the large group of Cadets. My eyes followed him as he went up to a short... boy? I think and being to yell at him.

"Hey, you!" He yelled into the boys face, the boy then salutes to him.

"Sir!" The boy yells back.

"What the hell is your name Cadet?!" He screams again geese what's with all the screaming and yelling, it's giving me a headache.

"I'm Armin Arlert sir, from Shiganshina sir." Armin huh. Once I learned his name I tuned out the rest.

'Hey, how long do you think we are going to have to stand here?' A sweet, gentle voice said in my head.

'Well if he does this with everyone then a long time." Another more rougher voice bounce around in my head.

'Wait! what do I say if he comes up to me! I-I mean like what do I say when I need to say where i live?!' A small meek voice then popped in.

'Stop it all of you. You all need to shut up and clam done. Especially you Fudo.' I spoke in my head. Before I could get a reply, Commander Sadies popped in front of my face and started screaming.

"Hey, who might you be Cadet!" He yelled getting a few drops of spit on my cheek. I didn't answer him I just brought my gloved hand up to my face, and wiped away the spit. 

"Hey I am talking to you Cadet and you better answer before I beat the shit out of you!" He growled out, I still didn't answer him. I saw him begin to pull his head back to headbutt me, as his head came down I just twisted my body to the right and dodged the incoming hit. Sadies the stumbled forward a bit seeing as my head wasn't there to stop all the momentum for the hit. He then whipped his body around towards me as the rest of the Cadets were gasping at the whole scene. 

"Oi Cadet, what's your name!" He screamed and this time I decided to finally answer him. I them brought my arms up and put them in a slaute.

"My name is Haruto Suzuki, from Shiganshina. Sir." I said in a cold monotone voice and I glared at him when saying 'Sir', I could hear a few people gasp when I said where I was from. Of course it wasn't true, but I could just say that me and my friends lived outside the walls. Sadies stared at me for a few moments before he turned away and went to the next person down the line.

I then turned back to facing forward and put my arms back down to my sides

Time Skip

It was now time for dinner, Fudo Shibata,  Arakan Kato, Ena Yoshida, and I all sat at a table alone as we ate. I could hear a group of people sitting outside on the porch. They're probably watching the girl who had a potato run.

"Sooo, what did you guys think about Commander Sadies?" Ena asked trying to start up a conversation, who was also sitting beside me and Arakan and Fudo across from us.

"To be honest, he kind of scares me a little bit..." Fudo said with a slight shiver, Arakan then rubbed his shoulders.

"I don't really care how he is, only as he doesn't hurt any of you." Arakan stated firmly. 

"Though when Haru dodged his hit it was pretty intense." Ena said while looking at me. All I did was shrug and take a bite out of my slightly stale bread.

'He got in me face, so I did something about it. That's all.' I said through our mind link that came with our Titan powers. All three of them rolled their eyes at me, knowing that I don't like strangers in my face.

The group from outside then came in, all following the burnette with sea green eyes. The boy then sat down and started eating with Armin and a girl with long black hair. The group that followed him in started to crowd around the table asking about what happen at Shiganshina. 

I then began to toon out their conversation until I heard someone say my name.

"Haruto, you said that you were from  Shiganshina too right? If so can you tell us if you saw the Colossal and Armored Titans." I boy with a shaved head asked leaning on our table. I looked at him and the group seeing that their all staring at, Armin, the green eyed boy and the black haired girl were staring at me hard. I then swallowed my mouth full of bread and began talking.

"Yes I did say that I was from Shiganshina, and yes I did see the Armored and Colossal Titans." That seemed to excite some people when those words came out of my mouth. The green eyed boy then jumped up out of his seat.

"Really! Your from Shiganshina, how come I never saw you? Oh and my name is Eren!" Well at least I know his name. When that question out of his mouth Fudo, Arakan and Ena tensed.

"Well actually all four of us were from Shiganshina ad the reason you didn't see or meet us was because we tend to stay away from others." I explained. I wasn't lying after our home was destroyed we snuck into Shiganshina and stayed away from people.

"Why?" Eren asked and other people nodding also wondering why.

"Well when you live on the streets not many people are kind to you so, you lean to stay away from strangers." I said, everyone then looked down probably feeling guilty or sad for us.

"As for the Colossal and Armored Titan I only saw a little bit of them, But from what I saw I'd say that they were rather... Human like."
