Bucky's POV:
It was 5:00 on Tuesday morning and as per usual I was met in the kitchen by my two best friends Steve and Sam. It was customary for the three of us and Y/n to go for a morning run everyday of the week except Sundays. Acknowledging my two friends with the nod of my head I walked to the fridge and grabbed a cold water bottle. The three of us silently moved to sit on the stools at the bench as we waited for Y/n. She always took longer than us to get ready, we never really understood why, but she did.
Once it got to 5:15 we began to wonder where Y/n was. Normally by now we were heading to the car and driving to our running spot. But Y/n still hadn't come down yet. Where was she?
"I'm going to see if I can't find what's taking Y/n so long." Steve spoke quietly, ensuring not to wake up the rest of the Avengers compound as he stood up and made his way upstairs to find our missing running partner.
After five or so minutes we heard someone making their way down the stairs. It was Steve, returning from finding Y/n. However when he walked into the room she wasn't beside him.
"Well, where is she? What's taking her so long?" Sam asked, much like me unsure of why Y/n wasn't accompanying him.
"She said she's not coming today. Said she wasn't up to it." Steve informed us.
That was odd. Y/n never misses a morning run. The last time Y/n missed a run was because Tony and Bruce had her in the medbay after a mission she got injured on. What a scary time that was. Y/n hates being sick. She says it makes her feel weak, which she is far from. We had to sedate her just so we could bring her down to the medbay because she refused help. So to say a thought of concern crossed my mind in the moment Steve told us she wasn't coming was an understatement. But I tried not to worry about it and put it down to Y/n being so tired from all her previous missions.
------------- After the Run -------------
Once we arrived back at the compound after our morning run we found everyone awake and sitting in the kitchen for breakfast. Well everyone except Y/n.
"Where's Y/n?" Steve asked, reading my mind.
"She's still asleep. We tried waking her up but she was not in the mood to get up." Tony told us with emphasis on the fact that she was not in the mood of getting up.
I knew something was wrong so decided to go check on Y/n in her room. Jogging up the stairs and down the corridors to Y/n's room I softly knocked on the door before opening it.
"Y/n?" I quietly called into the room. I received nothing but a grunt in response.
Cautiously I walked into the room. As I approached Y/n's bed she was facing away from me. I sat down on the edge and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Y/n's POV:
I felt awful. Why I have felt so awful, I had no idea. But I did. There was a pounding from behind my eyes and the whole world felt like it was spinning. It was then that I heard my name being called. But it was inaudible to my ears. The voice then became a weight sinking onto the edge of my bed. A strong but strangely soft hand was placed on my shoulder. I rolled around facing the owner of the hand.
"Bucky?" I croaked, making my guess of who was sitting on my bed.
"Yeh doll, it's me." He soothed bringing his hand up and down my arm.
I simply just whined in response to hearing his voice. I was so tired and my head kept pounding. My only wish was for the ache behind my eyes to go and for everything to stop spinning.
