Amethyst was walking through a jungle planet with half of her clone legion, sneaking up on a Separatist camp; the other half followed Ralzal as some sort of pincer maneuver. The war could soon be over as they overheard chatter on the comms that Obi-Wan Kenobi had engaged General Grievous on Utapau.
"I hope this plan of yours works, General." Questioned CountDown, he was Amethyst's clone Commander and a perfect one at that. He was always so helpful on her missions and was why they were successful at times; he always had valuable input. He was certainly different from most clones.
Amethyst let out a soft chuckle and shook her head; he always doubted the plans, even though they worked. "Our plan. You don't need to doubt it." She patted his shoulder then knelt down; she could see the Separatist camp in the distance. "It's there." She soon frowned as the force felt different, and the air turned as if something was about to happen. "Count-" she turned and saw that Countdown was holding a communicator, and a cloaked figure had shown up.
"Execute Order Sixty-Six." Came a cold raspy voice, unknown that Amethyst was right behind the communicator and was watching what was going on.
Amethyst's eyes widened as she looked at CountDown, who uttered a few words that would have a massive impact. "Yes, Lord Sidious." Before the communicator turned off, Count dropped it then aimed his blaster at Amethyst.
"CountDown..." Amethyst backed up slightly, one hand out in front of her while the other went to her hip, where her lightsaber was. She looked so confused and frightened; why was this happening? Who was that cloaked figure? So many questions. Now she noticed more of the Clones were aiming at her.
"General..." then, CountDown started to blast the Clones around him while still pointing their blasters at Amy; most of them fell where they stood, along with Captain Wire. Count looked at Amethyst and pulled his helmet off, dropping it to the ground while he shook.
"CountDown... What the kriff just happened?! Who was that? Why did you kill the other clones?!" Amethyst still had her hand on her lightsaber, getting ready to ignite it. She was scared, not knowing what was going on. The Force felt unbalanced, and she felt pain, her heart pounding in her chest.
"I...I am not going to hurt you, Amethyst. All the rest of the Clones, they have been ordered to hunt down and kill all the Jedi Knights... all of us." CountDown dropped his blasters and slowly made his way over to her, both of his hands up, showing he was not a threat, and he wouldn't hurt her. "Please."
Amethyst came to a sudden realisation, her heart sank in her chest, and she realised what that pain was, she turned around, and her eyes had tears in them. "Ralzal..." she then began to run in the direction of where he was supposed to be during the missing, coming up on the Separatist encampment from the east. "No... no please..."
CountDown saw the fear in her eyes from him telling her what was happening, but he realised that was not what she was most fearful of; the other Jedi that he noticed for a while now that she had been in a secret relationship with, it was when he was going to tell her how he felt when he saw her kissing him in the doorway of the Jedi quarters. Count blocked all the thoughts from his mind; he still cared, so he ran after her to see if she would need help against any of his brothers that might still be alive.
As soon as CountDown reached Amethyst, there was no one to fight; Ralzal must have defeated most of the clones before being hit in the chest then Amy finished those that were left, both of her ignited lightsabers on the ground, buzzing away while she laid over his body, sobbing loudly as she wanted him to open his eyes and be okay, but there was no movement from him, no twitch of his fingers or a hitch of breath with his chest rising slightly, nothing.
CountDown picked up her lightsabers, turned them off, and hooked them onto his belt; he walked over to Amy, placed both hands on either side of her arms, and tried to pull her away from Ralzal. "Amethyst... please, we need to get out of here." It was difficult to pull her away as she was latched onto him and wouldn't let go of him.
"No... No, I can't leave him!" Amethyst yanked herself out of CountDown's grip and over the top of Ralzal, staring down at his handsome face that showed no signs of life, his lifeless golden eyes staring up into the sky, she moved her fingers over his eyes and closed them, her tears dripping onto his cold skin. "Ralzal..." she whispered sadly, tears falling down her face and onto his faster. "Ralzal, I am so sorry... I didn't get to you fast enough..."
CountDown slowly knelt down beside her and placed one of his hands on her back, slowly and gently moving it in a circle. "Would you like to bury him before we go?" He asked softly, knowing this would be a hard time for her, he knew about grieving, he just had to shoot his brothers.
Amethyst had her face buried against Ralzal's chest, her once tied back red hair now barely staying in place. She slowly lifted her head, her tears had slowed down and she hiccuped while sniffling. She did not want to let him go nor did she want to bury his body but she knew it was the right thing to do. "Yeah... just... give me more time with him..."
CountDown sighed softly, there wasn't any time to continue to lay over a corpse that wasn't going anywhere. "Amethyst... we can't stay here for much longer. Other clones may still be alive and searching for us, you and I will be shot on sight." He didn't really want to rush her but he wanted to get off this planet as soon as possible so they were safe but considering what was happening with the rest of the clones, safe might not be possible.
"Fine..." Amethyst sat back onto her knees while she held Ralzal's cold hand, brushing her fingers over his skin, still wishing that he would open his eyes, look at her and give her that handsome smile he always gave her. Amy slowly got up to stand on her feet then backed up so she was standing next to CountDown, she held out her hand and closed her eyes, focusing. Soon the dirt underneath Ralzal's body began to shift and move to the sides, his body falling into the hole she had made, then the dirt covered the body, leaving a dirt mound so they could always find where Ralzal was buried.
CountDown was always amazed by the Jedi and their powers, just the way they can control what was around them. But when it came down to it, the Jedi never used it for their own benefit or revenge, at least Amethyst never did that. Count looked at her and saw how pained her expression was and the sadness in her eyes. "Would you like to say anything before we leave?"
Amethyst crossed her arms then held her upper arms, rubbing them as there was sweat and grime over her exposed skin, tears still falling down her cheeks and she took a bit before she spoke. "We were going to leave the Order... we were going to start a family but... now he is gone and I won't have that... the love of my life, gone forever... I miss you already, Ralzal."
CountDown immediately wrapped an arm around Amethyst as she started to sob again, crunching her chest and almost falling back down to her knees. "I'm sorry you never got to live your life with him." He felt guilty that he didn't warn her fast enough, maybe Ralzal would still be alive. "We must find your starship and get out of here, okay?"
Amethyst wiped her tears away and sniffled, she then nodded and kind of leaned into him, not sure if she could walk by herself without falling to her knees, she was glad CountDown was here to support her. "Alright... Ralzal spent the night together before the coming battle, so our starships are actually not far from here, just north of here."
CountDown and Amethyst headed towards the Starships, careful to avoid any living thing on their way there, clone or animal.
