MOMUCLAA is a feminist non-profit organization led by women in Honduras on the outskirts of López and Aledanos in the northern part of the country, Choloma. This non-profit organization was founded in 1992 by Virginia Marta Velásquez.
MOMUCLAA has been actively working to combat femicides, working primarily to defend and validate the rights of women in Choloma, Honduras, a country that is among the most violent countries in the world; where the average woman is raped, tortured, and murdered every thirty-six hours (if not, more often).
