Warmth

The next morning, Iyu slowly got out of bed early to see the sun rise.

She tried to be as quiet as possible.

As soon she went out of the cottage, Iyu felt brighter and happier. She almost forgot her position.

The warmth of the sun soon rushed over her.

After it was all over, she went inside.
Jason's family were already waking up.

So Iyu decided to cook them something.

"Good Morning." Iyu said happily.

Louise smiled happily at Iyu and said, "Good Morning, Dear. Did you sleep well?"

"Yes. Thank you." Iyu replied.

Everyone sat at the table laughing and talking together.

"Hey! Give my book back to me Ace!" Amy said.

"Never!" Ace said laughing.
"Sit properly! You two can continue your fight outside after you finish your breakfast." Granny Jane said.

Jason came down and immediately flopped onto his chair.

Ace suddenly came up and screamed into Jason's ear.

"Arghhh!" Jason said surprised. He fell off his chair and landed with a thud.

"I'm so going to get back at you Ace." Jason said.

It's so lively here, Iyu thought.

"Let's eat." Iyu said smiling.

She had finally found the warmth of happiness.

By the end of breakfast, Ace and Amy ran out the door shoving each other.

"You are going to give me back my book. NOW!" Amy said.

" I. SAID. NEVER!" Ace said running around.

Iyu stared at them and became a little jealous.

I wish I could have experienced this happiness forever, thought Iyu.

Iyu turned around and entered the cottage to clear the table.

Louise was sitting in the kitchen knitting.

Then she asked, " Why did you cry yesterday?"

Iyu just stood there. The shock was such a big impact that Iyu just stared back.

"Uh um. Well... You know... it's complicated." Iyu said uncomfortably.

Sensing Iyu's being uncomfortably, Louise said," It's okay. You don't have to answer."
Louise smiled to reassure Iyu.

Still, she was very curious about Iyu.
