Perfect Misery

Chapter 2

I woke up, snuggled up to Luke. I looked over to the alarm clock on his bed side table.

"Luke wake up! We need to go. It's already twelve o'clock. We need to get up and get ready. I have to be at the house in 30 minutes," I said while shaking Luke just enough to wake him up. I got out of bed and quickly drug my clothes in from last night and brushed my hair. Luke slowly got up and got dressed. When he was done he came up behind me and raked his arms around my waist while I was looking myself over in the mirror. He rested his head on my shoulder with a, "Good morning, Beautiful."

"Morning baby," I said as I turned around in his arms and gabe him a kiss.

Once we got to my house it was almost time to leave for California. When we were driving up to my house my dad was packing the last few boxes into the moving truck. "I'm going to miss you so much!" Luke said with a small frown as he rapped me in a hug.

"I'm going to miss you too, baby! We will text and call everyday, okay?" He shook his head. "I love you." I brought his face to mine for a quick kiss before we got out of the car.

We walked up to my house hand in hand. When we got in the door I saw Carter sitting on the edge of the fire place on the right side of the door. I let go of Luke and picked up Carter in a huge hug. We just stood there for a while till Luke joined in on the hug. We all stood there in silence for what felt like forever. I just couldn't stop thinking about how much I was going to miss them but my thoughts were soon interrupted by my mom saying that we had to go. That's when it really hit me that I was moving away from my boyfriend and best friend and wouldn't see them for at least another 4 more months. I started to cry and so did Carter. Luke just turned me around to give me another hug before I left.

Me and Carter walked hand in hand to the car with Luke on my other side walking along with us to the car that would take us to the airport. I took Carter over to the side of the house first. "Carter, I love you and I will miss you so much. I want you to text me every day and tell me how everything's going. I will see you in a few months. I love you!" I said with tears running down her face and mine. She gave me a slight grin as she pulled me in for a long huge. She mumbled into my shoulder, "I'm going to miss you so much and I love you too so so much!"

I took her by the hand and drug her over to where my parents were making small talk with Luke. "Can I talk to Luke for a second. Thank you." I took Luke by the hand and drug him to the side of the house where my parents couldn't see us. "Luke, I am going to miss you so much. I want to thank you for last night. I had so much fun. While I'm gone I want you to text and call me everyday. I love you and while I'm gone I hope I don't hear from Carter that you have been flirting with some other girl. Okay?" I said trying to lighten the mood. He brought be in for a light kiss that then turned into a full on make out session. "Okay" he slowly responded.

After we were done we walked about to the car hand in hand. Carter and Luke gave me one last hug before I got in the car and speed off to the airport.

When we got to the airport I slowly walked through security and sat at the terminal. I sat there for 20 minutes just waiting for them to call my seat number.

After about 10 more minutes of waiting they finally called me up to load onto the plain.
