JAZMINE'S P.O.V

Laying down a wave of relief washed over me. I've been moving non stop today, even at school.

Flash Back

I was sitting at a table with some kids from my class for an assignment.

"Jazmine?" It was nobody but the teacher as she had to escalate her voice to be heard over the 30 students.

"Yes ma'am?" I asked looking towards her desk.

"Would you be as kind to take this to the front office for me?" My math teacher said holding a folder.

"Yes ma'am." Truth be told, I didn't but if it got me out of doing math I'll happily do.

Once I made it to the office there was no one up there so I had to wait. Worse pert being all of the chairs were takin up by parents and guardians even small kids. I felt overwhelmed by all the people but I just did my best to ignore it.

When I looked at the clock it was past time for 4th period to start.

"May I help you?"

I looked at the lady. She was wearing thick glasses and a horrible shade of pink lipstick.

'Who lied to her this morning? They really let her walk out the house like that?'

"Um yes. Mrs. Williams told me to bring this to the front." I said politely as I handed her the folder. But she snatched it.

'Don't be mad at me cause yo husband ain't come home last night. I wouldn't even have married you if I was him.'

"Tell her I said thank you. Now be a good student and take this to the gym teacher." She said. Bitch ain't even ask me.

End of Flash Back

Worse part was when ever I went to take it to him he asked me to take something to another teacher and it just continued. I even ended up searching for the custodian because a student wanted to barf on the hallway floor. In the end I missed almost all my classes. But the teachers gave Jamez my homework to give to me. Just why?

Some time later

I felt somebody shaking me. "No leave me alone." Though I'm pretty sure it came out muffled since my face was in a pillow.

"No mama said come and eat. And you ain't even eat when we came home from school."

So it's Jamez.

"Tell her I'll eat later." After that I pulled the covers over my head. I have no idea when I fell asleep but I don't want to get up now.

"GIRL GET UP!"

"LEAVE ME ALONE AND STOP YELLING!!" I yelled as I threw my pillow at him.

"YOU TWO BETTER COME ON AND EAT I AIN'T GOT ALL NIGHT!!"

I feel sorry for our neighbors. On second thought I don't. Those fuckers deserve all the yelling we have. They fuck like jack rabbits loud as hell all night sounded like a fuckin orgy. And the fact that our houses aren't that far apart and my room is closer just makes it worse.

Once I made it into the dining room I saw they had already fixed my plate.

"Thanks."

"No problem. Anything for my favorite sister."

"I'm your only sister." I responded rolling my eyes while taking a seat.

"With the way Tom is going not for long probably."

"True, could also be the other way around too."

"Now you two."

"Oh sorry."

"Mmhmm. Jamez say grace."

"But I said it last night." He said while pointing at himself. "I know. Now say it again." Ma said while pouring her and I some drink. Yay lemonade.

  "Dude just say it."

"Girl shut up. Ain't you on a diet?" He said looking at me trying not to laugh.

'This bastard!'

"And ain't yo coach say no sugar until after yo next game? Don't think I ain't notice over HALF OF MY-"

"DAMN YALL HUSH!!"
