I woke up screaming scared but everyone was asleep. Getting up I went outside and looked at the stars. This was a dumb idea but hey I was a little girl. Frowning and I took a deep breath saying I wish we weren't here. The star moved I knew it was a shooting star. The dream seemed so real I saw Newt. He seemed worried I walked over. Newt looked at me and said"You shouldn't be out here Bethany Gally wouldn't like that." I frowned this Gally guy is driving everyone crazy. The might thing would be to just agree. But I don't listen and I don't care. I said"Newt I don't care we need to find a way out of here." Newt looked like he wanted to tell me something. I was grabbed by Gally and I kicked him. Newt frowned and Gally dragged me a way. The wind was blowing as I was being forced into a pit cage. Falling inside Gally locked the woods together. He told me next time listen Greenie. Gally walked off I lied down looking at the wall. Started thinking why did Gally call me Greenie. I told him my name maybe it's because I broke the rules. Seeing two rocks I came up with an idea. I scraped the rocks together over and over. Soon a fire started yes this is crazy but I had no choice. Newt ran over and let me out. Gally threw water on it looking at me. Oh great now I'm in trouble again.

Brittany prov:

At school no one was ever my friend. The question your asking is why. Well I was a tomboy my whole life. People would tease me because I was different. But I didn't care but, I wish I could escape. Bullies always picking on me and it sucked. Taking notes waiting for this day to be over. Hearing the bell I got my stuff but was pushed by a boy. He said "Look boys it's that girl who dresses like a boy haha." Tears went down my cheek and I ran off. I got on my bike but then stopped people were coughing and throwing up. I ran to my brothers school. People were coughing more I ran and stopped. Aris was outside wearing a mask the teacher gave me one. I took my brothers hand and we ran home. Aris was shaking and said "Sissy I'm scared what's happening. Why are we wearing a mask?" I was scared but we made it home. But something was wrong I smelled smoke. I was about to grab the door knob but, Aris moved my hand saying no. The door started shaking we ran and jumped getting down. The house blew up I held Aris back screaming no! I opened my eyes smoke was everywhere. Walking with Aris my little brother ash was in the air as we walked. A van pulled up and we were pushed inside. The van drove off Aris stayed close by me. A girl came up to us I didn't know her name. The girl said "Hi I'm Teresa it's ok we're here to help you." Aris was scared and I held him close. Teresa told us your mom was killed someone killed her. More tears went down my cheek the drive was long. Finally we stopped and I saw teenagers and kids being separated. They were crying and screaming. Teresa opened the van door I held Aris. We were walking but a guy came up to us. He told us kids in that line I'll take the boy. I looked at Aris shaking my head no. I kicked the man holding onto Aris I ran. Finding a hiding spot I stopped and sat down. Knowing they would find us I put Aris down. Tears went down my cheek why was this happening. Aris wiped my tear saying sissy don't cry. He was so brave and, I knew I would never see him again. Hearing them coming I took off my necklace. Aris looked at me I put it around his neck. He looked at it our mom gave me a knot ring on a necklace. I said "Aris bro I love you no matter what happens I'll always be with you." Aris didn't understand so we hugged each other. I was dragged a way screaming Aris no! I looked seeing a boy he took Aris and left. I struggled and Teresa grabbed a needle and pushed it in me. Then I blacked out not remembering anything. Not even my brother.

Sitting down I listened to Gallys lecture not fun and boring. I felt a drop on my head and, ignored it after all it's just water right. Newt was watching us but, he was by the wall as always guarding it. He looked at me running over I frowned. Gally and all the glades ran inside the place they call home maybe a hut. Newt shouted run I looked up seeing some white circles falling towards me. I didn't move Newt pushed me out of the way. The rock fell down well it looked like a rock. Gally said "Newt Bethany get inside its started to hail!" The hail was coming down hard we ran and stopped. The box was coming up oh no not now. Newt told me look you have to get inside. I can't help the person in that box if I have to save you. Nodded I ran inside Gally shouted for Newt but he told him I can't. Newt ran over to the box but heard something. Newt said "Gally help me please the box is stuck!" I frowned Gally told us to stay here and looked at me saying I mean it. Gally ran over and said "Newt this box is going to fall we need to do this fast Minho get a rope fast." Minho nodded and ran off looking through their supplies. He found the rope and ran over Gally tied it to Newt I ran over worried.

Newt said"Ok when I pull on the rope that means I have the person and you pull me up." I was scared and hugged Newt like I knew him. He jumped down and held onto the wall. Gally told him be careful Newt. Brittany looked up hearing someone. Newt jumped on the box and opened it. Bitting my lip I looked down. The box moved Gally shouted it's going to fall. Newt jumped down and Brittany looked at him. She was shaking scared not knowing what was happening.

The box was shaking Brittany held onto him. Newt pulled on the rope and Gally and the others pulled. The box fell down and Newt told her hold on. Britt screamed as they were pulled up. Newt got up saying welcome to the glade Greenie.
