Trying to Be Happy~ (bnhaxfairytail)

Same old boring day ._.

It was another same boring old normal day. Birds are flying from place to place, families are spending time together. Romeo isn't smiling, Twilight Ogre are bullying. Wakabe is smoking and I am breathing.

It has been about 3 years since Team Tenrou's disappearance. Almost nothing has been the same in this guild since then. Its 3 years too since my exceed's death, Snow. She was my best friend in this whole messed-up world. Everybody isn't feeling so giddy about this too.

I was walking along the magnolia streets, humming to myself. I just got back from a job. I was told to spy Raven Tail by The Magic Council. They said something fishy was going on there but honestly, I couldn't care less right now. All I care about now is getting the job done and sleeping on my comfy bed. Hopefully I would remain asleep forever.

I visited a shop and bought a book for learning magic and some toy rifles. After that I head towards my guild, almost shooting those people who keep mocking the guild. I arrived about 20 minutes after exiting the shop.

I took a deep breath before opening the entrance to the guild. I don't know why, but I kinda moved to the side, attempting to dodge something. But, nothing came. It was just me acting strange again.

I guess I was hoping a little that the Tenrou team was standing inside the guild and accidently threw a chair at my direction. Saying it was all a prank and apologizing to me. I was hoping that I could see Mira serving drinks and sweets to everyone. Or Elfman saying manly at almost every sentence. Or Juvia trying to win Gray's heart by stalking him and doing nice stuff for him like knitting a skarf or baking for him in a weird way. Or both Natsu and Lucy being dense with each other and Happy saying fish while being cupid for those two at the same time.

I really do miss them, don't I?

I let out a sigh as I quietly head towards Macao who was talking with Wakabe. "Macao." I called him and he quickly turned to face me. "Oh, Kae. You should really put off that mask of yours. Its hard to recognize you if you hide your face and voice.

"Oh, sorry. But I need to wear it. Who knows if somebody is easdropping our conversation or something." I replied with my emotionless face.

"Well, it's your choice. I doubt it though." I took out the money bag from my "magic cloak pocket" and hand it to Macao. "Here you go. I think its enough to at least stop those big-heads from coming for at least 5 days."

"Nah, you take it. The ones who pays most is you, so it isn't really fair especially because you warned us not to get loan from them."

'Yeah, it's your fault we're stuck in this situation. But if I don't help you the situation would only get worse.' I thought.

"I'm in this guild too. Plus, I already spent some money from the reward. You guys can take it." I pulled my hood further to hide my face.

"But-"

"Just take it, old man. Before I actually take back the money and leave this place for good." I said and walked towards the counter. Kinana was making some drinks there. She noticed my approached and waved at me. "Hi, Kaede-san!"

"How many times do I have to tell you to stop with the honorifics? It kinda makes me feel weird when someone calls me that."

"But you let Sherry call you Kae-chan."

"Tch, fine. Call me what you want." Kinana let out a small giggle knowing she'd win.

"Anyway, do you have any jobs for me? Anything that suits me?" I asked taking off my hood. Kinana let out a slight "hm?" before walking to a pile of paper on the edge of the counter. She began to look for something and then came to me with a job request.

"Somebody requested you to investigate this place. Someone from Sabertooth is coming as well with you." I nod slowly as I began to scan the paper.

Requesting the Hidden Mask to come to Steam Village on the west. There's something weird going on here and we need your help to investigate it. We also requested a Sabertooth member to come. Dead bodies are appearing out of nowhere. And children began to go missing as well. Pls come help!

(Somebody's notes: I'm sorry if this job request sounds dumb or anything. Hidden mask is a nickname for Kaede that I made. I know, it sucks, couldn't think of any other name though.)

'The reward wasn't too bad, it's a little bit more then the previous job. And it doesn't seem to hard. I mean, I've faced harder ones.' I thought to myself.

"West?" I rose an eyebrow. As far as I know, Steam village was north.

"Yeah, the person who gave it to me said it was west. I didn't got to ask anything though since the man was in a hurry and ran to who knows where after giving it to me." she replied.

"Are you sure it isn't a typo or something?"

"Yup, the man told me its west. No typos." She then began to serve drinks to my other guild mates, leaving me with my thoughts.

'This is definitely sus. It could be a trap.'

'Aaarggh, that just give me more reason to go there. If it really is a trap then I need to capture them before they reveal my identity. It would be harder to do my usual jobs then.'

I let out a small sigh and told Kinana I'm accepting this job. I went to see Romeo and Asuka give them their stuff first before heading to this "Steam village".

'I don't know why, but I got a bad feeling about this.'

Me: Nah, let them be. I really wanna see a fight right now. I'll clean up the mess later.

Ochaco: They're fighting in your garden.

Me: WAIT WHAT?!?! My beautiful flowers!! I'll come save you this instant! Come on, Ochaco!

Ochaco: Oh, Fairytail and Bnha doesn't belong to Rin-chan. They belong to their rightful owners!

Me: Ochaco, hurry up!

Ochaco: Coming! Have a nice day, everybody!
