The Joker sat on the edge of a roof top,  looking over Gotham with pure disgust. 'How can Batman really love this city enough to protect it?' The clown thought to himself. And, as if on cue, Batman grappled onto the roof top and towered over an unsuspecting psychotic clown. "Joker." Batman spoke, their voice as deep as the trenches in the ocean. This caused the Joker to flinch and almost fall, but he managed to keep his balance and not end up falling to his demise. "Oh, hello Batman! Care to sit with me?" Joker asked with a big grin, acting as if he didn't just flinch from his greatest enemy's voice. The dark knight simply grunted, before sitting down cautiously, making sure to keep a good distance away from the clown prince of crime. "What's going on, Batsy? Why ya here? I haven't committed any crimes yet, the bat signal isn't up... What it do?"Joker asked, holding a confused expression on his pale face.... Along with his iconic unnatural smile. "Joker, I've been meaning to talk to you... It's very important, so please, try to be serious." The Bat answered blatantly, like the royal they are. Joker's face twisted slightly, his smile dropped, his eyes narrowed. What kind of talk would they want to have? Did they want to put an end to their little 'meetups'? "Oh- Uh... What's up, 'The Batman'?" Joker asked, using his long, slender fingers to emphasize his mocking. "Well, 'The Joker'. I just... I suppose I need some sort of clarification. What are we..?" Batman answered, making sure to mock Joker back, ugh, slay. "I..." Joker paused. He wasn't sure how to answer, he was aware of his feelings for the bat, but only ever thought of them as fuck buddies. "I'm not sure, Bats... What do you want us to be..?" Joker continued, after a moment of thinking. Batman sighed, they knew this would happen. Joker was always the type to push important decisions upon others. "Joker, I want you to.." Batman trailed off, without even realizing. "What was that, Bats?" Joker looked over at Batman questionably. Though, when the clown saw that Batman was struggling to find their words and fidgeting, he gently set his small hand over the other's. Batman looked up at this. "Joker... I... I want you to be mine." Batman finally answered, trying to be blunt. Joker suddenly felt his heart melt, and his brain fizzle. Bats reciprocated Joker's feelings? This was all so much to process, even if it was just a small little statement. "Bru-" Joker was about to say Batman's real name, but stopped himself. "Batman... I-I don't know what to say..." He said, correcting himself of his almost disastrous mistake. "I understand, I'll go." Batman said, getting up to leave. Immediately, Joker's mind began to function again. "N-nO! Bats- Wait!-" But when Joker turned around-- Batman was gone. "God damn it Bats... I was going to reciprocate your feelings..." The clown mumbled softly. He sighed and stood up, then backed up towards the other side of the building and took a running jump, creating momentum as he jumped across the buildings of Gotham, silently making his way home to talk about his night with his girl buddy.
