An egg laid in the sands near the Sky Kingdom. It was yellow, with swirls of turquoise and red. Inside was a little dragonet. She was a hybrid, the child of a Sandwing and Rainwing.

In an attempt to flee from scavengers, the little egg was dropped. Forgotten. Buried in the sand. Her parents would mourn the loss of their child, but move on in an attempt to care for their other children.

The little egg slowly began to crack. Then, out popped the dragonet. The three moons shone high in the sky, as the little dragonet wobbled through the sand. She chirped and cooed for her mother, who never came. Her parents believed she was long gone. Probably found and killed by the scavengers, or taken away to become one of their 'pets'.

You heard me right. 'Pets'. The scavenger population grew. It grew so much that they now rule over most of the continent. Then, they started taking dragons. They trained them as 'racers', 'gatherers', 'hunters', and 'guards'; and if they didn't belong as one of those, then they fought in the ring. The ring, once known as the arena in the Sky Kingdom, is now ruled by the scavengers.

In every kingdom, there's a lead scavenger. The only exceptions are the Sea Kingdom and the Ice Kingdom.

Our wonderful story takes place in the Sky Kingdom. Where our little dragonet grows into a big dragonet. She fights for herself. She survives alone. She doesn't need anyone. Her parents certainly didn't need her! So why should she need anyone else?

Her beliefs will certainly change when she discovers it's not that bad having friends, and that not every scavenger is a murderous, selfish beast.
