Um. Hey. I'm still alive. I've just started grade 11 so I'm totally out of time for updating. But I'm trying to get into the habit of updating once a week. We'll see how that goes...
Kellin's POV:
I arrived at the party half an hour after it started.
I wasn't running late. I arrived at this time on purpose because it meant that the party would be in full swing.
It had nothing to do with more people being here and there being less of a chance of running into Vic. Not at all...
I walked into the kitchen where I knew there would be drinks, sliding in between people grinding on each other.
The kitchen was fairly empty, albeit a few couples making out. I looked at the table laden with all different kinds of alcohol. After careful consideration on just how drunk I planned on getting I filled a plastic red cup with straight vodka and left the kitchen.

Several hours and 2 cups later - I was drunk. And when you're drunk with nothing to occupy your attention, you start to dwell. And this is exactly what I did. I sat on a couch squished between two couples and thought. The one thought I couldn't get out of my mind was Vic. I couldn't stop thinking about how much fun I'd had with him, how hurt he must be that I accused him of lying, the fact that I was ignoring him on his birthday, the fact that I didn't know it was his birthday until yesterday and the notion that he had been nervous when I'd asked him out.
This is what led me to my current situation. Stumbling up a staircase in the general direction that had been pointed out to me. Looking for Vic.
When I made it up the stairs I went down the hall, walking past more couples. I opened every door I passed - interrupting quite a few people getting down and dirty. I was about half way down the hall when a voice called out from behind me, "Kellin!"
I turned around, stumbling in my drunken state, and saw Matty at the end of the hall. I have to admit he looked hot. His orange hair was slicked back as usual. He was wearing a navy blue, short sleeve, button-up shirt and black skinny jeans.
I smiled at him goofily, "Hey Mattyyyyy."
I tried to walk towards him and stumbled, falling. I heard footsteps running above my head and rolled my eyes back, seeing Matty's familiar converse.
Suddenly, his head was above me and he was reaching out a hand to help me up. But when I stood, I lost my balance and crashed into his chest. He wrapped his arms around me, making sure I was steady. I looked up at him. His brown eyeseyes met mine before darting to my lips and back to my eyes. I grinned at him, "Your eyes look super pretty today."
He smiled and I felt his chest move as he laughed a little, "Wow. You get extra homosexual when you're drunk."
"No I'm serious. They're like, grey almost."
"Thanks babe."
"Matty?"
"Yeah Kells?"
"Why are you still holding me?" I said, suddenly aware.
"Because I don't wanna let go." He said softly.
I looked at him in awe. He leaned towards me and I closed my eyes. As his lips brushed mine I sighed. I was leaning up to deepen the kiss when the door behind him opened and we jumped apart. I fell and landed on my butt.
As I groaned and started getting up Matty rushed over to help me. I looked at the intruder, taking a minute to register who it was.
Vic looked especially attractive tonight.
