Steve's POV
"Don't you get it Eli? We're the last line of defense. We have to be the heroes." I said as I placed a black bike helmet over my head and smeared back face paint on my cheeks.
"If there's no time to call in the big guns, you must become one." Eli continued. We were now dressed in all black and ready for action.
"There's only one thing I care to know about creepers. How to kill 'em." I said as I punched my hand.
"Good thing I've been saving these for a rainy day." Ei then crouched down and opened a crate full of assorted items. Those include shurikens, fireworks, multiple small red balls and a baseball bat.
"Whoa! Nice, what else you got?" I asked, Eli then stood up and showed off his shoes with wheels that lit up.
"Zip Slippers!" Eli said excitedly, "Never been worn. When my mum saw how dangerous they were, she never let me near 'em. But not tonight," he confided then started to show roll off to the side. I stopped him.
"Okay, but what do you got for that werewolf or whatever Jim? This'll never be over until he's gone down." I questioned, Eli nodded and started pulling some things out of his room and added them into a small cup.
"I've been searching the net for all sorts of ingredients that would affect a supernatural creature such as Jim. I call this deadly cocktail 'the last resort.'" He said as he held the now complete concoction.
"It's got every monster deterrents I could find. Garlic powder, sliver, holy water." Eli finished explaining.
"And if he's an Alien," I spat into the cup, "Human germs." I chuckled proudly.
"We don't know what we're gonna be up against tonight, so bring everything you can carry." I advised sternly as I knelt down over my bag and started shoving stuff that I might need for the mission.
"Sorry, little guy. This adventure is for grown-ups only." Eli said as he tucked Flip into his bed. I stood up, slumping the bag over my shoulders.
"All you things that creep in the night, watch out, because the Midnight Boys are comin'." Eli said eagerly.
"We're not calling ourselves 'the Midnight Boys.' Look at us," I scolded as we stood in front of a mirror. "Look in the mirror, Eli. What do you see?" I paused letting Eli ponder. I flexed in the mirror and stood in a cool pose.
"A pair of cool dudes," I declared. "We're the Creepslayerz."
"With a 'z'," I added. We then began to pose in front of the mirror for a while then I stopped and started to drag Eli out the front door.
"We should really go save the world," I said as I dragged him.
Once we got to the museum we huddled together behind a bench to try and think of a plan.
"These rock nerds have no idea this place is about to be crawling with creepers. Eli you get the normies outta here. Leave Jim to me." I sternly commanded. We then quickly made our way into the museum, with the 'last resort' in hand. I began my epic search for Jim Lake. I peered around corners looking for him. It wasn't long before I found him walking down a hallway. He was looking around suspiciously, as if he was looking for someone. I stood behind a corner waiting for him to get closer for me to unleash the 'last resort'. I lifted the lid of the cup readying myself.
"Adios Lake. I... Hope... You... Die!" I said as I splashed the substance on jim.
"Ugh! Watch where you're going," he began to wipe the 'last resort' off of him and then looked up at me, "Steve? What are you doing here?"
