"You've got to be kidding me."
"I assure you Miss Jameson, I don't joke."
How is it that everytime Ankusu thinks the situation is getting better and she's about to be free things do the opposite? First the interrogation where she thinks she's going to be released afterwards only to have to stay overnight and for the rest of the next day and into the day after that. All because of the detective and this fucking rat.
She's been coming to terms with quirks during her high school imprisonment, which sounds stupid considering she hasnt been in high- School for a couple years now.
That means she's also had to come to terms with the fact this creature sitting in front of her is in fact not human and is likely some form of rodent, though she has no real confirmation on that front quite yet, she wants it to be rat but that might be her being frustrated; and instead he just has a quirk that allows him to seem like a human. She's also slowly coming to terms with the fact this isn't her world at all; based on her conversation with the Hexe agents and a variety of other smaller things. She hasn't wrapped her head around the concept quite yet, but in all fairness how is she supposed to do that?
She doesn't know how she got here other than being attacked in her apartment by a man with blue hair. Plus it's only been literally three days since she got here, and only just over twenty four hours since the idea was shoved into her face. Give her a break. She's also learned about a couple of the people, teachers apparently; according to Nezu, so that's good at least. Make's Ankusu feel a little less like she's wasting days doing nothing but ignore questions from Detective Tsukauchi, she finally learned his name since it seems he's going to be sticking around, and sitting around her small room with a soft cover book as her only entertainment outside of the many visitors.
Small victories
Sadly, it seems all she's going to be getting is small victories.
"You can't just keep me indefinitely. I have work and a home to tend to and my family is going to miss me soon."
The rat just smiles wider behind his ever full tea cup. His beady rodent eyes staring at her, creepily blank compared to his body language. Though Ankusu had noticed amongst all their meetings, that most of the principals body language and facial expressions are forced and chosen like a person choosing what clothes to wear in the morning rather than natural.
Reasons why she hates meetings with him, it puts her on edge.
"I can assure you Miss Jameson, the second you inform us of your family's contact information we will inform them of where you have been. They will understand I'm sure, it is quite the opportunity to be on UA campus."
Motherfucker, this rat is trying to get her to provide more information than what she gave Detective Tsukauchi the first day. She narrows her eyes at the smug looking rat across from her.
Two can play this game.
"Fine, I will give you my family's contact information. But, you must allow me to leave UA campus afterwards and return to my responsibilities. You will be able to contact me with anything else you need without me being stuck here, and if you can't reach me you'll have my family's contact information. A win, win really."
The rat just hums, finally setting his tea down on a coaster before staring at her in silence.
"I will agree to these terms, you will be allowed to leave UA campus and return to work once you provide your family's contact information and I've confirmed that it's legitimate."
"Perfect, then we have a deal."
"That we do. I'll take that information now, and you will be escorted off of campus by nightfall."
