"So, are you excited about the party tomorrow?" asked Alex.
Ariel frowned and looked up at him. They were sitting across from each other on a park bench. She hummed quietly while admiring his fluffy brown hair ruffling in the wind. "I mean...I guess?"
The boy made a confused expression and scrunched his nose. "What do you mean 'I guess', this is gonna be the best party ever! Lucas is buying tons of snacks, and his parents won't be home.....and..." He trailed off.
Ariel snickered. "And...? You're really only excited to see Chloe, aren't you?" she sighed.
"Ah, uhhh.." Alex blushed and looked down into his lap. "Y-yeah, I guess.." he looked back up at her with a nervous smile. He always looked so cute when he did that.
Ariel swallowed back her tears, this was a terrible time to get emotional. They had a wonderful day at the park having a picnic and she did not want to ruin it because of her jealousy. She had had a crush on Alex since 5th grade but he always had a thing for Chloe, I mean, why wouldn't he? She was gorgeous, blond hair, blue eyes, freckles spotting her soft porcelain skin. And honesty, he wasn't any less gorgeous. Fluffy brown hair, perfectly framing his pale, narrow face, wide brown eyes, that always a had a look in them showing he cared, he had rosy cheeks, and a tall slender body, his size caused most of his clothes to look quite loose on him, but she liked that. Ariel liked everything about him.
