A woman in her bridal dress ran after the bus no. 78 as she shouted for it to stop. The onlookers were staring at this rare sight of a beautiful girl, with her skirts up, running bare feet on the pavement. Even the people on the bus got her attention and they called for the bus driver to stop.
The bride got up on the bus panting. She would have looked pretty, had she not run like her life depended on it. With her hair undone and mascara streaming, she looked ghastly like a Ghost bride. Even as she sat, her feet and hands were anxious. There were mixed emotions on her face. She was spewing curses one minute and sobbing in another. She had all the attention of the passenger in the bus, but none dared to approach her.
June was undecided if she should kill her fiancé, Dickon when she catches him or beg him to stay. She loved him so much, and would have given him more time if he had asked her. "But no! You had to ditch me on the altar and you dare try to leave the country? The nerve of this man! No one leaves me on the altar." She muttered. Not only her pride but her heart was hurt too. She had loved this man and had given her everything to him. She dreamt of marrying him and having his kids. June wanted him to at least stay with her and sort out whatever problem they had instead of running away.
"Excuse me Miss," called the woman in black suit to the bride.
June looks at the petite woman next to her.
"I bet those heels weren't worth it. Here, wear this." Maeve offered her black shoes that went well along with her black suit.
"But, what about you?" asked June.
"I don't think I will need them anymore." Maeve said with a sad smile, and got up to leave with her box.
"Thank you." said June.
The Airport stop
"Next stop Airport", called the driver from front.
On hearing it, Robin readied himself and worriedly looked at June who was at the door, ready to jump any second.
As the bus pulled by, and the door opened, June rushed out of the bus wearing the black shoes, while Robin calmly followed. As he got down, he watched June maneuver through the crowd and disappear through the gates of the airport.
