Sonic groaned and woke up inside a cell, his cheek, and chest aching like crazy, reminding him of what Metal did to him. Sonic glanced around to see that he was in a rather small cell and looked down at his chest to see bandages wrapped around it, some of his blood visible from staining it.
'Guess I've been out for a while, but for how long exactly?' Sonic wondered, his ears perking when the sound of footsteps could be heard approaching him. Sonic glanced up to see Metal standing on the other side of the cell door, the Badnik holding a first aid kit in his hand.
"Looks like Mr. Badnik has returned," Sonic said, earning an ear twitch from Metal.
"Seems like I didn't hit you in the head hard enough." Metal said as he opened the door, walked inside, and closed the door behind himself. "For someone who's supposed to be fast, you sure took your time to wake up." He inquiried.
"How long have I been unconscious anyway?" Sonic questioned him curiously.
"Two days." Metal replied, opening the first aid kit.
"And what did you do to Tails?" Sonic queried.
"That little fox of yours was gone by the time I was sent by that capsule we battled at, so if you were worried that I captured him too, you're mistaken." Metal replied to him.
Sonic huffed and crossed his arms, ignoring the stinging pain on his chest while glancing at Metal suspiciously. "How do I know you're not lying and did do something to him?" He questioned him.
"Simple." Metal inquired as he took out a cloth and a bottle holding a liquid substance inside it. "You won't ever know because you're going to be stuck here for a while until Dr. Eggman decides on what to do to you." He said and began to take off the bandages on Sonic's chest.
Sonic moved away, only to earn an annoyed glare from Metal before the Badnik grabbed him by the arm tightly.
"Sit down and hold still." Metal ordered as he sat Sonic on the flat steel bed, finishing with taking all the bandages off.
Sonic sat there as Metal released and opened the cap of the bottle before he poured the liquid on the cloth, setting the bottle down while the blue hero glanced at his arm that was slightly red from how hard a grip the Badnik had on him.
'I have to find a way out of here, who knows how many more Wisps Eggman has captured and drained their energy?' Sonic thought, only to feel a sudden pain on his chest right as Metal touched the now wet cloth on his wound.
"Ow!" Sonic yelped and got ready to push Metal away.
"Stay still." Metal hissed while grabbing his arm tightly again.
As much as Sonic wanted to protest, he reluctantly didn't move while Metal's eyes seemed to be piercing his soul while the Badnik was glaring at him. Metal glanced back down at Sonic's chest and continued to wipe his wounds, having the blue hero wince sharply and tense up, his ears pinning on his head while his heart started pounding.
'How did I get myself into this mess?' Sonic wondered, wishing that his battle with Metal was just a dream and that he would have woken up in his room instead of inside the cell.
"So if this Anti-Zombot grants you the ability to turn organic, how did you adjust to the form itself?" Sonic asked, deciding that making a conversation would distract him from the pain of Metal cleaning his wounds.
"It took me about three months to get used to it, the only issue I had that lasted longer was forgetting that I required nutritions in my body by digesting food." Metal answered him.
