Star Labs

Jesse woke up and rubbed her eyes. She looked at the table next to her and saw a cup of coffee with her name written on it. She took a sip and felt it still warm. Jesse looked around and saw her father standing in front of the glass board, doing calculations, Cisco was sitting in the other part of the room and creating something. Jesse walked over to Cisco and noticed the schemes and calculations on the glass board next to him.

"Are these handcuffs that suppress forces?" Jesse asked in a sleepy voice, looking at the contents of the glass board.

"Yes. Barry's idea. With these handcuffs, we could potentially catch stronger meta-humans like Zoom," Cisco said while charging cuffs. "I wish we could test them, but I can't fully control my abilities, so we can't be sure if they work or not. And Barry, you know," Cisco said sadly.

"Yeah. Is Barry still here?" Jesse said and sipped her coffee.

"No, he went to see his father. Why you're asking?" Cisco said, raising an eyebrow.

"Not that I know him well, but I have never seen Barry so serious and determined. And from Barry's demeanor, I'm guessing he and Caitlin are close," Jesse said, looking at Cisco. Cisco looked at her with a confused expression on his face.

"Well, yes. The three of us have been friends for two years now, so yes, the three of us are close," Cisco said confused.

"That's not what I mean," Jesse said with a slight smile.

"Oh," Cisco said with wide eyes, "you mean they like each other? More than a friend should?" Jesse nodded. Cisco thought for a moment and spoke.

"I don't know, but that could explain many of their actions over the past two years," Cisco said thoughtfully.

A loud bang was heard from the side where Harry was standing. Jesse and Cisco looked in the direction of the sound and saw that Harry was about to throw another marker at the wall.

"Okay, that's enough. Destroying my lab won't give us the answers we need," Cisco said loudly.

"Do you have any answers, Ramon?" Harry said, looking at Cisco with a stony expression on his face.

"No," Cisco said sounding defeated.

"Okay, but if we look at our problem from a different angle. How did Barry even get his powers?" Jesse said, looking at Cisco and her father. Cisco and Harry's eyes widened as they exchanged glance and spoke.

"Particle accelerator explosion," Cisco and Harry said at the same time.

Allen's Vacation Home

As Barry drove to his father, he couldn't stop thinking about Caitlin, his powers, Zoom and the way to stop him.

'I hope she's okay. She went through a lot, more than a person should have. What would Thawne say if he was still alive? That I'm a loser, a guy who can't save those who are most dear to him?' Barry shook his head, trying to shake off those thoughts.

'Wait. Thawne. I get my powers after the particle accelerator explosion. What if we recreate this incident? But for this we need more information.' Barry sighed and shook his head. In a moment, he saw his father near the house, chopping wood.

"Hey!" said Barry, getting out of the car.

"Hey! What a surprise!" said Henry and walked over to Barry, hugging him.

"Look at this," Barry said, looking at their vacation house.

"Let's go inside. Tea?" Henry said, and they went inside.
