It had been two weeks since Hope realized that Landon wasn't Landon, again. In those last 14 days she was practically sleeping on books. Not only trying to find a way to bring Landon back, but also searching for the answer of what magic Malivore had used to secure his place in the ex phoenix's body.

Hope's eyes fluttered opened, to the view of a sideways book, still opened. Of course, she thought, another day gone and still no answers. How was she to find answers about a creature that was never written in history?

She lifted herself out of the mahogany chair and made her way to the kitchen. On her walk down the hall she ran into Josie, her eyes bringing solace to a tired and distraught Hope.

"Hope," Josie's eyes lit up, "How's it going with Landon?" her eyes now widened.

"It's not." Hope responded, her eyes matching Josie while they widened.

"I know I've already offered, but if you need help with anything I'm here." Josie said reassuringly.

"I'm fine." Hope walked past Josie. However, she felt a comforting feeling. Josie looked down at her black shoes and white lace socks. Then continued walking.

All she wanted to do was help Hope. She could feel the emotional turmoil she was under, and was sure that if given the chance she could help lift it. Hope turned around, and Josie heard her sigh.

"Jo?" She called, "I could actually use... a friend." She bit her bottom lip and let the defenses around her fall, both physically and energetically. Josie noticed her muscles unclenched.

"Yeah, of course," Josie couldn't keep the excitement from her voice. "Anything." Hope laughed lightly, it felt good to have a friend. Lord knows it's been a while since she confided in anyone.

"I was just going to make some tea, attempt to release my nerves. Do you wanna come?" Josie smiled and nodded fast before making her way over to Hope, accidentally skipping on the first step.

The girls caught up on everything they had missed, laughing all the way through. They were the only ones in the kitchen, as class had started. Not that Hope would be missed anyways. She hadn't gone to class while searching for answers, no one wanted to say no to Ms Mikaelson.

"God, it feels so good to just be." Hope smiled and took her long auburn hair down from

the bun she had slept in. "Next thing you know I'll have time for a shower." She laughed to herself.

"You haven't showered?" Hope tilted her head and drew her eyes up to Josie.

"Yesterday's clothes, got it." Josie said with a smile. "Well, you should take a break, take a shower, hangout for a bit." Her eyes shifted then met back with Hope's dazzling blue eyes.

"No, no way." Hope shook her head, "Landon is somewhere in Malivore and I need to find a way to bring him back."
"You've been working for two weeks straight, have you found anything?" Hope looked down, breaking their eye contact.

"I don't care." She mumbled, "I have to do this. I have to save him. Besides, didn't you say you would help?"

"Of course, what do you want me to do?" Josie said, defeated.

The pair ended up back in the library, shuffling through any book they could find with anything related to black magic, monsters, or history. They both shuffled through books until Hope's eyes lit up.

"Josie? I think I found something!" The brunette got up to join her as she read over the lines. It was something about dark magic, and to their luck it had information regarding body swapping. Hope's finger traced along the words, "Undoing a body spell is simple when you have both inhabitants' original bodies. You only need one consciousness to be willing to switch back." She mumbled.
