"Wake up Marva! Come on, come on!" Said my sister, Cadia, shaking me. As my eyes fluttered open, I noticed I wasn't on the ship anymore. The trees were like mountains. The vast area of trees and hills amazed me. All we had on our planet was computers and air support. I have read about these beautiful things but I have never seen them with my eyes before. As I got up, I noticed that blood was dripping down my leg like a lake, it looked like it would never stop flowing. My blood was lighter than human blood, it is a pink, purple mix. The grass was soft, like a cousin. As my purple skin brushed the edge of the ship, I shivered.
My kind is from the plant Skylar. We are almost identical to humans, but our skin is a dark magenta. The color of our sunset on our planet. It is beautiful if you look at it the right way. Our people were once allies with the humans. We lived on the planet Earth. But long before I was born, a great war started between our kind and the humans. Mother still won't tell me what happened. She says she'd cry if she ever told it to me. But I'm thinking.
As I walked around the amazing area where we had crashed, I noticed my mom and dad weren't here.
"Where is mom and dad? What happened to your face?" I said as I touched the huge cut Cadia had across her face. The blood wasn't that bad, but it would definitely turn into a scar.
"Mom and dad went out to see if any other people or beings lived or live on this planet. It is breathable so something must live here." said Cadia as she walked to the ship. "Also, I hope there's food." I could feel hunger building up in my stomach as she said the word. When Cadia was busy looking for edible plants, I snuck into the forest. I walked a little farther into the woods and I came across a little stream. It was glittering like a shining star. Also, it was crystal clear so I could see the bottom with the pretty rocks. I bent down slowly. When I sat down, I rested my feet as I put them in the water. The ripple that led after my feet were in went on forever as I watched. There was rustling in the woods and then everything was silent. I looked back and then I noticed that I traveled too far into the woods. I couldn't see the ship. I was lost.
