Sorry for the long wait! I've been busy with summer school, and I also lost the story notes I had. Kids, stay organized. This fic would've had to go on permanent Hiatus because I can't replay the game in fear of losing my glorious 'speedrun before the 1.4(?) update' trophy I had. Anyways, here we go.
Warning: there is verbal and implied child abuse written here. feel free to skip this chapter, just be aware this is the chips ending!
It's 4 AM. A wonderful time to be awake. (Y/N) felt delusional, their vision caused their room to distort and twirl in front of their very eyes.
There was a biting cold lingering inside of their fingertips. Burrowing further into their sheets was futile, as their blanket was thin and raggedy, and didn't really trap warmth. They rubbed their hands together, curling up into a fetal position in an attempt to gather body heat.
(Y/N) figured they're awake because they're hungry. It's natural. Maybe the reason they're so cold was due to a lack of nutrition.

They broke a rule. Now they were going to pay.
"Did you think I couldn't hear you eating chips in the kitchen? I could hear the bag from the bathroom," their dad grunted.
They froze in place, terror filling their body. The chips in their stomach sat uncomfortably, threatening to come back out again.
(Y/N) didn't dare to speak, they knew better. They knew, they knew, they knew, so how did they manage to get here? They had done so good until now, no broken walls, they had their own room, and if they looked around enough, there was pocket change to be found along the walls. They had it so good, and they couldn't follow the rules, which were simple and easy to follow. (Y/N) had the rules in grained in their head since day one. They, they, they-
"I told you not to wake me up."
He swung down his sword.
