To become a decent lover, you must first understand the language of love. S.R.

Alone. It's not a word that they understood. They were never alone even when they weren't in the same place. They were never going to be alone, that was their blessing and curse. Even those days when their bodies were in separate places, thoughts of each other kept them together. Somehow, they had to find a way to exist together because alone as twins wasn't a reality.

Their apartment felt cozy considering that it was still freezing cold outside. Larry trudged into the bedroom feeling exhausted taking his shoes off by the side of the bed. Laurent followed behind him, his shadow. Laurent wanted to talk about what Maddy said and what the Orisha said to them. He stood close enough to his twin that he could smell the scent of his bodywash on his skin. He didn't need to ask Larry if he was tired, he felt it too, but more of an ache in his heart than in his body. The air between them felt stifling. As much as he'd tried to make up for what happened a few nights ago, he knew that Larry was still upset with him.

He watched his brother slowly peeling out of his clothes. The jacket came off first tossed by the side of the bed, then his shirt. Larry knew he was watching as he turned his face towards the broken window, another reminder of their recent past. His head shook in exasperation. There wasn't any denying that he loved that man staring at him. He loved everything about Lau even when they weren't on the same page.

Lau felt dizzy from holding his breath. The golden color of Larry's back shining in the moonlight from the window stirred his heart. They were at a point in life where they'd both screwed plenty of people. They'd traveled to countries where celebrities preyed on them just for the fun of it, bragging rights to tell their elite friends that they bagged one of the famous twins. They'd stolen moments of kisses and touches between shows or hotel suites. None of their past mattered if he couldn't convince Larry that they had a future together. He feared that the day would come where he'd pushed him too far and that would be the end of them.

Lena's existence in their life caused so many problems that he wished he never met her. Somehow, he had to prove to the man sitting on the bed that he truly had his heart. Larry slid off his jeans sitting on the side of the bed with his face in his hands.

Laurent moved away from him to the end of the bed. Suddenly, Larry sat up looking him in the eyes. "You know what hurt me more than anything Lau?" He spoke in a serious tone. Laurent nodded knowing what he was referring to.

"I did dance with her, alone," he admitted seeking forgiveness in the mirror image of his twin's eyes. The pained look in those large doe eyes made his heart drop to his feet.

"Why would you do that? You promised that you'd only dance for me, with me. Did you really love her Lau? You are a beautiful man, you deserve love. Maybe I can't give you what you need."

Hearing the words made Laurent's sick. He'd been trying to keep a relationship with Lena for one reason only, to distract him from the feelings for Larry. "I'm not going to lie to you bebe. I thought I loved her. She is pretty, she was funny and easy to talk to. She turned out to be an evil bitch and a liar. If you had just told me about Tia and Lena, I would have never been with her. I'm not saying I'm perfect bebe. You know that I'm a mess sometimes, but I know now that everything I was looking for in Lena, I already have in you."
