Chapter 2

Evie Konstantin's POV

"We will miss you, princess." Ika ni papa at hinalikan ako sa noo. Napapikit naman ako at ninamnam ang sandali dahil ilang minuto na lamang ay mahihiwalay na ako sakanila.

It's been a week since that father and daughter talk occurred and here i am finally. Nasa kalibo airport, already checked in. My mom and dad made sure na maihahatid nila ako so they cancelled work today which i am really grateful for. Pakiramdam ko ako na ang pinaka maswerteng anak sa mundo dahil despite of their busy schedules never nila nakalimutan magpaka magulang sakin.

"I love you, anak. Mag-iingat ka doon ok? We're only one call away. Nabilinan kana rin namin. Kumain ka sa tamang oras, wag ka magpapagod ng husto, lagi ka tumawag." Mom said with tears falling down in her face. I gave her a sly nod and hugged her, I hate seeing her cry like this.

"Stop crying mom or else magpapaiwan talaga ako." Biro ko sakaniya, she smiled a bit at pinahid ang luha.

"Mag-iingat po kayo dito papa, mom. Wag po kayo magbabad masyado sa trabaho, lagi ko kayo tatawagan at kukumustahin." Malungkot kong sabi. They both gave me a hug. It lasted for minutes when i heard my flight being called.

"Mabuhay! Welcome to Philippine Airlines! This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight PR75 to Manila. We are now inviting those passengers with small children and any passengers requiring special assistance to begin boarding at this time. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes time. Thank you."

Humiwalay na sila sa pagkakayakap sa akin at hinalikan akong muli sa noo. I gave them a reassuring smile para malessen na pag-aalala nila, kinuha ko ang maleta ko at nagbuntong hininga.

"I love you mom and papa. Lagi ko kayo i-uupdate at tatawagan." I said before slowly turning my back. It scares me. I don't know what lies ahead but that's the risk my father wants me to take.

I'm gonna find my purpose in this world, dad. Starting right now.

Matapos ang iilang proseso na kinailangan masunod at paghihintay ay kasalukuyan akong nakaupo sa designated seat ko. The good thing about this is I'm beside the window, makikita ko mamaya ang syudad.

They both wanted me to take the first class but i refused. We've always been in designated in the first class and now that I'm going to travel by myself i get to choose what i want.

"Good morning passengers. This is your captain speaking. First I'd like to welcome everyone on Leftwing Flight 86A. We are currently cruising at an altitude of 33,000 feet at an airspeed of 400 miles per hour. The time is 8 am. The weather looks good and with the tailwind on our side we are expecting to land in Manila approximately fifteen minutes ahead of schedule. The weather in Manila is clear and sunny, with a high of 25 degrees for this afternoon. If the weather cooperates we should get a great view of the city as we descend. The cabin crew will be coming around in about twenty minutes time to offer you a light snack and beverage, and the inflight movie will begin shortly after that. I'll talk to you again before we reach our destination. Until then, sit back, relax and enjoy the rest of the flight."

Sinalpak ko nalang ang earphones ko at pinikit ang mata. I don't need to buy something naman since busog pa ako and isang oras lang ang byahe from Aklan to Manila.

I tried to relax my body and mind, ngayon na nag move out ako kailangan ko pag isipan kung saan ako mag tatransfer at kukuha ng condo. Yes, ako ang mag dedecide niyan. Talagang ginampanan ni dad desisyon niya sigh I told him tutuloy nalang ako sa mga close relatives namin pero ayaw talaga niya. Good thing is binigyan niya ako ng isang linggo para ayusin mga kailangan ko. So sa mga susunod na araw doon muna ako tutuloy kina tita Vivian, ang kapatid ni mom.
