I look around the torched room and shudder. I jump as a spider crawls across my foot and yelp "Ew!"
Sam walks to the center of the room and turns to face us.
"Let's get started," he says, his voice ringing around the room.
"Elizabeth, and Amy, come with me to the side. The rest of you run 20 laps."
Everyone hesitates for a moment.
"Now!"
Amy and I quickly jump up and join him as everyone else moans and starts running.
"I am going to do a specific type of training with you two. As you might have already known, I was very close to the only other human that has come to this island and I knew her training techniques very well. If you want to beat the One, you have to listen and watch very closely to everything I teach you. Your first task is to go join the others in 20 laps. I am going to finish my tea with the Queen now. I expect for this to be completed by the time I return. Now, go, go, GO!"
Amy and I sprint across the room and join the huddle of jogging girls on the other side. Sam waves goodbye and then quickly walks away. Right as he leaves, Amy and I slow down to a walk.
"What are you doing?" Rene asks, panting.
