"Elizabeth! Elizabeth, wake up!"
"What, Emily." I say, groggily and very annoyed.
"Come on! It's 9:00! We have to go."
I sit up quickly and turn to her voice.
"It's 9:00! We have to be there at 9:30!"
"Well, that is why I woke you up. Come on sleepyhead!"
I jump out of bed and pull my blue speedo swimsuit. I grab a towel and some sunscreen and run to the kitchen. I shove a granola bar into my bag and hop into my white Lexus convertible. Emily trails out behind me and sits down in the passenger seat. I start my car and I speedily drive to the beach.

Right as I park in the parking lot, Emily and I bolt out of the car and onto the white sand. I run, my straight, dark, brown hair waving behind me. I watch as my sister runs, her light, curly, brown hair bouncing up and down in a ponytail. Her nose is sprinkled with light freckles and her hazel eyes glimmer in the sunlight.
We slow down and heave deep breaths. We both laugh.
"Elizabeth! Over here!"
"Amy!" I squeal in delight. I trash my sister and run to join her. Emily wanders off and plops down in the sand.
"I saved you a spot in line," she tells me. "I know parasailing is your favorite."
" Thank you for thinking of me, Amy."
She nods in return, her long, black braids shimmering in the sunlight. Her chocolate skin reminds me of coffee, warming me up inside.
Finally, the line lets out. The silver yacht returns to its dock and the driver calls "Next!" I notice that his voice sounds slower and a little slurred. A cute couple laugh as they unbuckle their harnesses, soaked to their toes.
Amy and I strap into our life vests and climb into the boat. The yacht takes us about a mile from shore and then stops.
"It's about 6-7 feet deep here." he says. "Is that okay?"
I peer over the side of the boat and it looks much deeper than 6-7 feet.
"Yeah, it's fine." Amy replies before I can protest. We climb into the deep but clear water.
He starts the motor. We are slowly dragged thorough the water. He speeds up, and our parachute slowly rises from the water. Soon, we reach the top. I am flying, and nothing can stop me. I feel like there are no troubles in the world. I look up, and I see a big fluffy cloud gazing upon me.
"Yeah!" I scream. Amy and I high five each other. I look up again.
Suddenly, the boat jolts, then stops. I hear Amy scream, and we plummet into the deep sea. All I see is darkness, but I feel my harness snap off the cord. My consciousness slips away and everything goes blank.
