I awake to blinding light, looking out the window I don't recognize a thing, I give a little yawn.
"Awake so soon?" Patch asks smiling at me. Stretching and blinking as I turn towards him, I smile back.
"How much did I sleep?" I ask.
"A few hours." He responds.
"How faraway is this "Paradise" ?" I say emphasizing on the word Paradise.
"Not long now." He responds, I give an exasperated sigh. For the remainder of the ride I spend looking out the window, and constantly asking, "Are we there yet?" At first Patch would respond, "No Angel." With a smile playing on his lips, then, "Not yet Angel." in a fixed vioce, and the last time he answered me he said "No Nora! We'll get there when we get there." he said in a stern vioce, jaw set, teeth clench. I couldn't resist, I reached across and placed my lips where his jaw meets his neck, in that soft vulnerable spot. He relaxes a bit, lets go of a breath, and his shoulders release some tension.
"I'm sorry." I say in between kisses. "I don't mean to pressure you." I tease his lips, "I don't care how long it takes, where it is, as long as I'm with you, and I get to have all of you." I say laying my lips on his, molding mine with his. It was a sweet lingering kiss, even when we broke apart, I could taste his lips on mine. I close my eyes, resting my head in the nook of his shoulder, he smiles down at me.
"You already have all of me, you own me." He says bending down to kiss me again.
The place we're going to must be remote, because I see no passing cars, barley any signs, so Patch doesn't stop me when I crawl into his lap, positioning myself between his arms. I snuggle close to his chest, then look back up at him, taking him in, all of him. This is the man I married, he's mine forever, and I am his. More than a man, more than an angel, he's mine, all of him and only mine. I could never imagine my life so complete, anything other than Patch is unimaginable. This is the man I'm going to spend the rest of my life with, and I couldn't be happier. I can't help to be proud, I know I'm smiling like a fool, because when my enchantment wares off he's staring at me funny.
"What?!" I say defensively.
"What are you looking at?" He ask curious.
"At my sexy husband." I say straddling his hips positioning myself right in front of him. "What are yoou looking at?" I ask stretching out the you.
"Well I was watching the road until my eyes were averted to a very attractive unearthly beauty, that just so happens to be very distracting." He says matter of factly.
I lean down to his collarbone, "You like getting distracted?" I ask while flicking my tongue, then licking a path to his jaw where I suck at the skin underneath. He stretches his neck longer and to the side giving a low, deep moan.
"Umm..... Yeah, of course, anytime, but at the moment I'm kind of driving my wife to our honeymoon resort, and....."
"I'm sure she doesn't mind." I say tugging on his ear lobe with my lips.
He clears his throat, "I know she won't mind, but you see I don't want to kill her in the process of getting there." I trail kisses back behind his ear, then graze his jaw, giving one final surprise kiss with no time for him to react, I bite his full bottom lip.
"Ow." He complains. I go back to the comfortable, warm hidden space in his chest, and purr to sleep in his safe arms.
When I surface again the scenery had completely changed; from rural greens, to tropical, no to a body of water surrounding me. Did I mention we weren't in a car anymore, no we were on a speed boat, speeding towards a green dot. I was in a small blanket, and Patch hadn't realized I'd woken up, so when I spoke he jumped.
"Where are we?" I ask in a voice heavy with sleep.
"Welcome Paradise Mrs. Cipriano." He says, as we pass an arch that reads Beach of Eden.
Beach of Eden.
