For a brief moment, I laid there looking up at the sky still not believing the sight of the rain pouring down from the heavens. Soon though someone came to my side.
I saw their face within my line of sight and I knew that they were saying something but I could not quite make it out.
This is when I started to realize that my ears have been ringing and that my whole body ached ever since I fell on the ground.
However, as the face looked down upon me I realize that they seemed familiar and I instantly knew where I remembered from. As I knew he had been the one that I had seen across the road.
They must have seen me try to cross I thought.
"Hey, hey, get up." I heard them say in a stern buy panicked voice.
I knew I had to get up but my body seemed to move a lot slower than I had intended. The more I moved around the more that my body seemed to scream out in pain. It was hard to stand but they seemed to see the look of pain on my face and offered me a hand to steady myself with.
I quickly grabbed their hand as my body rocked and wobbled. However, eventually, I was able to stand up properly.
"Are you ok? You took quite a fall there." he said with a concerned facial expression and his voice seemed to quiver slightly.
For a moment I was shocked that he seemed to be worried about me but eventually I was able to gather my thoughts and answer him...
