Is He Dead?(Luca x Alberto)

Alberto's pov
Luca and I sit on the floor for a while. He keeps playing with my hair and staying away from the general bald spot areas.

He keeps asking more questions and trying to figure out who Bruno is every other question or so. I can't focus on him tho.

It's not that I don't want to, I just don't wanna talk about Bruno. 

After a while he stops. We sit and he puts his back up against the wall and holds me closer to him.

This is nice.

"Alberto?" Luca says.

I can't respond but I look up a bit to show I'm listening.

He starts sniffing and berries his face in my hair. What am I supposed to do I don't wanna make him sad.

I get up out of his arms and sit in front of him with my hands lightly on his waist looking at him.

I need to say something and I keep trying. I must look so stupid right now. All I can do is look at him and hope he knows what I'm trying to say.

Luca pulls me into a hug and crys while saying "I thought I was gonna lose you."

Ow. That kinda hurt. But I understand. I thought I was gonna lose me too.

I hug him tighter and the door opens into the room. Shit.

Luca let's go of the hug and wipes away his tears when Giulia walks up behind us and gasps.

"Saint mozzarella, what happened!?"

Why is she here.

Didn't she here me tell everyone to leave. I know Luca stayed but I was kinda hoping he would.

"Uhh, it's nothing. Please don't tell anyone."
Luca sounds so worried. I would be too if it was him but it doesn't feel like I did much, because back at the tower I've done worse.

Giulia walks out of the room and I start picking up my hair with Luca. A few minutes later Giulia comes back with a mop and some rags and we clean everything up.

After all that I actually need to shower but I don't trust myself. I can't be there alone. Not after that.

I look at Luca trying to tell him but he hugs me and says "Hey don't strain yourself. It's okay. What would you like me to do?"

I point to the shower and then remember! I can just right things down. I get in my wheel chair and role over to some paper and a pencil and start writing.

I don't want to be in the bathrom alone can you stay in ther with me? I hav to shower but the curtains are there and you can look away, I jus don't want to be alon.

I have a lot of misspelled words but I think he will get what I'm trying to say. He picks up the paper and smiles after he finishes reading "Ya sure! Let me get you some new clothes first though."

I smile at him and he walks away.

"So um Alberto? What exactly happened?" Giulia asks while putting the mop next to the bathroom door.

I look away and she looks like she is realizing something and grabs a paper for me.

I get my pencil but I don't know what to write. So I just scribble a bit and lightly write "I don't know"

She gets a paper and looks confused. I shrug and she gives me the paper back.

"Can I get everyone now since you are doing a bit better?"

I nod and go back into the bathroom. If they're coming back I don't want them to see me just yet.

Luca comes back with a new hospital gown and something to cut my hair called a razor.

He closes the door behind him and locks it saying "So I was thinking since we don't want anyone to see that you have bald spots, either I can cut off all your hair or you can wear a hat."

I look at him for a moment trying to figure out the best way to respond and then smile nodding and point at the razor.

He plugs in the razor and then starts cutting off my hair. I look weird with a half bald head haha.

When he's done I can't stop staring at myself. I look so different. He hands me the hospital gown and puts a hat on the top "I had grabbed a hat anyway just in case you wanted to wear a hat instead."

I take the gown and the hat and role over to the shower turning the water on.

I wanna make it hot again. I still have some burn marks from the last one but I think it would be fine.

I turn the shower controller all the way to the red but Luca comes up behind me and puts it in the middle.

"Please don't take hot showers. They're not good for you."

I give him a stink face and he laughs "Alberto what is it."

I make a silly face to him and he walks back over to the other side of the bathroom and sits facing where he can't see me.

Luca's Pov

Alberto goes into the shower and I sit in the corner. I hope he's gonna be okay.

About 20 minutes go by and he turns off the shower. 

He gets dressed and then roles over to me.

"Hey so I don't think that the razor works..."

He just talked to me?  I jolt up and look at him. Somehow his hair grew back and he had the beanie on with his hair in front of his face a bit.

"Haha ya, I'm happy you're talking again though." I smile going over to hug him.

He smiles and then we go back out of the bathroom.
