Anything Can Happen

Ch.3

The next thing I knew I was in a hospital.

"Is he gonna be alright?" I heard someone say.

I didn't know who was talking but I am pretty sure it was the doctor who answered.

"His pulse is normal. He should be waking up anytime soon"

"Ok. Good. Thank you" the voice I did not recognize said.

I rubbed my eyes.

"JAKE!" A high pitched voice screamed.

I growled "Its. Jacob"

Then I felt skinny arms around me. I opened my eyes and saw auburn hair. I tried to blow it off of my face but it just landed back where is was before.

"Can you get off me?" I asked getting hair in my mouth.

The girl lifted herself up and off of me.

"Ha-ha sorry. I just am really happy that you are awake!"

I looked up and saw big hazel eyes filled with excitement staring at me.

"Uhhh, ok? Im sorry, do I know you?" I kinda squinted my eyes when I said that.

She looked hurt and surprised.

"Uh, ye-yeah, i-im Carmelia. Your girlfriend..." She blushed.

Ok, now I was surprised. I didn't have a girlfriend. And if I did it certainly would not be her. She is not my type.

"What? Im sorry but I dont have a girlfriend. I dont know you" I sat up.

"Its ok. The doctor said you would not have your memory back till tomorrow" she smiled.

I looked around and saw my phone sitting on a stand next to the hospital bed. When I grabbed it and pressed the one button the screen lit up and there were many text from my mom and my dad and friends. I could sense that the girl was not happy. The on in the room with me I mean. I looked up. She was staring off into space with a look on her face telling me that I was right.

"Did the doctor say when I can go home?" I asked.

"Um" she looked around "I think. But I was not really listening"

"Okay" I got up and started walking to the door.

The girl, wait, she said her name was Carmelia. Carmelia stopped me.

"Where are you going?"

"Home. My mom is worried" I pushed past her.
