-"The original & traditional piñata has seven points symbolizing the seven deadly sins: envy, sloth, gluttony, greed, lust, anger/wrath, and pride."
-This has pretty much nothing to do with this one shot, I just thought it was interesting.<<>>
Many things shouldn't be broken.
Furniture, bones, hearts, promises.
But there are things made to break.
Eggs, piñatas, silence.
You were made to break.
Your body was fragile. Your bones broke easily and bruises formed on your skin from the lightest pressure. You hated the excruciating, lasting pain that came with the tiniest injury.
It was like you were built to be broken.

"HEY!"
The loud blue-headed kid yelled at you, angry and concerned.
You huffed, biting the bottom lip out of frustration and pain. Your fingers stung and your eyes watered. It wasn't supposed to hurt this much. You were just too darn sensitive. "I'm fine."
"You are totally not fine!" He pushed up his goggled and took your hands in his. He examined the cuts on your finger and frowned. There was more blood pouring out than there should be. "Here."
He took out the bandages he always carried around with him since he met you. Within seconds, he applied them to your fingers, wiping away the blood with a clean cloth and being careful to not touch the cuts. Although it was messy and crude, it showed he cared.
"Thanks, Franky," you murmured, hating how much he helped you, but appreciating it.
"It's not a problem, but you have to be more careful!" Franky scolded. "Especially here!"
You were where he often hung around and gathered parts to build his ships. There was a lot of metal, which meant rough and hard surfaces and sharp objects that could hurt you. The weapons he made was also a hazard, and he refused to even let you watch him test them out.
"There's so many opportunities for you to get hurt here!" he continued with a scowl. "Why do you insist on hanging around here?"
It was true, you hated the place. You would get hurt more easily here, and that meant having to be patched up afterwards.
But Franky was here, and you loved to watch him work and do his thing. You loved the way his eyes sparkled with interest and excitement when he found a part that he could use for something. You loved the way he rambled on about his ideas and inventions. You loved how passionate he sounded about what he was doing.
"I like it here," you said instead. You hugged your knees, leaning against some broken-down structure. Your fingers rubbed against each other, feeling the bandages and adjusting them so that they were looser and not cutting off the blood flow to your fingertips.
"Hmph." Franky sighed. "Please be more careful, I hate to see you constantly get hurt."
Your heart skipped a beat at those words, but you quickly shook it off. He'd never settle for someone who constantly gets injured and needs help. You were built broken, built to be broken.

Everything was numb. All he could feel was the coldness of your hands and the warm wetness of your blood.
This had to be a nightmare.
This was his fault. He shouldn't have built those ships, and now they've hurt not just the town and his family, but you.
"[Y/N]!" Franky cried over and over again. This couldn't be real. You were barely within range of the cannons.
When Spandam's men attacked with the ships that Franky built, you had been caught up in the danger zone. Every part of you must have been feeling extreme pain.
He didn't need to be a doctor to know that many of your bones were broken from falling and the rocks and debris that flung from the impact of the cannons scratched and bruised your skin.
This had to be a nightmare.

Your eyes fluttered, and you barely had enough strength to keep them open. You saw a glimpse of blue and heard a familiar voice.
Franky.
You tried to speak to him, but your chest hurt so much just trying to breath, all you let out was a gasp for air.
"[Y/N]!" Franky repeated. His eyes watered and his hands shook and hovered above you, as if not knowing whether to hold you or not in case it hurt you even more. "I swear, I'll.. I'll...." He stopped, and you couldn't make out his last words to you before you lost consciousness.

Franky looked over the ship with pride, a large smile plastered on his face.
The ship was almost near completion, and the Strawhats were going to love it. He had just finished lining the bottom of the ship with Seastone, and there were just a few finishing touches to do, plus some customization.
It was really late, and many of the others had already turned in for the night. Franky sighed with satisfaction, anxious to see the final product soon.
He picked up the rest of the Seastone that wasn't used and headed home, humming a tune. That Sogeking song had been stuck in his head since they've rescued Robin.
When he arrived home, he let out another sigh, this one less cheerful. Though, he was almost done. He headed to a secret room, where he had been working long and hard to fix you; to build you a new body.
He was unable to recover you immediately after you had fallen, as Spandam and his agents back then were quick to capture him, Tom, and Iceberg before they could do anything. They had ignored your body, thankfully, and when Franky settled down after everything that had happened, he went back to you to keep you safe. You still had a faint heartbeat and seemed to have fallen into a coma. Your body was mangled and if you were to wake up you would have been in excruciating pain.
He had been working from the inside out with you, making prosthetics with Adam wood and Seastone, the strongest, toughest material he could get.
"Well, you're safe after all that's happened," Franky said, a smile on his face. He pushed his sunglasses up. He was practically done and was just waiting for you to wake up. Occasionally he'd add another perk or tinker with some parts, but all he needed now was to know that you were okay.
He sat there for a while, thinking of how much he missed you. You were broken, built to be broken. But he had fixed you, mended you back together, loved you, so much so that you could never be broken again.
All he had to do now was wait.
