The woman awoke as a pair of hands violently shook her, panic arose in her body until she realised it was only Sapnap.

"What do you want?" She mumbled, rubbing her eyes as she sat up, realising where she was.

He looked at her bloodshot eyes.

"I'm sorry, I overreacted." He sat down beside her, he couldn't help but notice her colder demeanour. "You and Dream? Not my deal. I was just... shocked."

There was a slight pain in his voice that he couldn't hide, his jokes were meaningless. He never had the intention of them being true, and it'd be hard to accept.

Y/N was a friend, but occasionally the line blurred and he imagined that this was how it was to finally be with someone who got him. How close they got so fast, they connected like pieces of a puzzle.

But he had to realise, come to the consciousness, that she had her own emotions. Life isn't a game where emotions are given or spread, they're grown. They take time.

"I get it. I'm sorry too." She said. The simple words that made him feel as if the world was lifted off his shoulders. "He's your best friend, it was messed up for us to do it. Especially without telling you."

"Don't- don't worry. I don't mind what you do, you do you." Sapnap reassured, "Just, as you said, tell me."

She nodded and leant over to him, wrapping her arms around him as he did the same to her. Both of them appreciated the warmth of the other, so much so that they didn't notice the trio approaching them.

"Hey." Karl said, looking at the two cuddled. "Can I join?"

Then scuffled apart and laughed.

"Oh come on." George rolled his eyes and sat down beside Sapnap.

Karl took a seat next to Y/N and Quackity sat next to him. Sapnap quietly let out a huff, glad that he was on good terms with both of them, but still didn't know how to act.

"Soo... Having a good time?" Quackity said in an attempt to break the silence.

"Yeah, it's been great really." Y/N responded. "I'm glad I got to meet you guys, I'm glad Sapnap made me come."

Sapnap nervously giggled. "You're making it sound bad!"

"It is bad! What a HORRIBLE friend you are." A familiar voice said, his distinct accent made everyone look up.

"Fuck OFF Dream."

"Why do I always sit alone?" He spoke, his words were full of fake sadness.

"Because you're wearing a creepy mask." Quackity joked, Karl and Y/N laughed.

"It's my birthday! Sapnap." Dream wandered to stand in front of him, looking down and meeting his glare.

He knew what he was trying to do, it was as if the thing he feared was turning against him. Reluctantly, he stood up and wandered to the chair as Dream sat down.

"Ah, this is so much better." He stretched his arm out on the back of the couch to snake behind Y/N's shoulders. They weren't touching, but surely were close.

Sapnap knew him long enough to see what he was doing, it somewhat pissed him off. His sudden affectionate state towards Y/N, the defence he held up towards him, sneaking alone time...

He wasn't in the wrkng to have his suspicions, most of his concern was towards Y/N. If they already kissed, there's something there. He didn't want her to get played, but wasn't sure of the game Dream was playing.

Surely his own best friend was better than that, he reassured himself.

"Hey, Y/N." Dream said - taking the opportunity to jump into conversation as the rest already had.

She turned and looked at him. "Yes?"

"How many subscribers do you have again?"

"On twitch or YouTube?" Her body shifted fully towards him, realising where he kept his arm.

"YouTube."

"143 thousand, exactly."

Dream huffed.

"Impressive, do you like my content?"

"I don't really watch it-"

"Don't finish that sentence..."

"I've seen clips of it, it's good."

"What's your Twitter?"

"Y/T." (Your/Twitter lol)

He pulled out his phone and opened Twitter, following the girl. Her notification was heard in her purse as she pulled it out to check, surely enough the notification was there.

"Dream has followed you on Twitter!"

She looked at him for a second then followed him back, smirking a bit.

"That's gonna get me clout." She remarked, Dream laughed.

"No problem." He said proudly.

"So..." She hesitated, unsure if it was appropriate timing.

Dream hummed in curiosity as a response, urging her to go on.

"Did Sapnap go to you too?" Her voice dropped down so only the blonde could hear.

"Yeah," He simply nodded. "It was okay. He got a bit emotional but I get it."

"I apologised to him, I do feel guilty." Y/N admitted, refusing to meet his eyes.

"Do you regret it?" He asked, slightly cautious that she would and they'd only be able to be friends.

She smiled and made a noise similar to a laugh and scoff.

"No regrets. You?"

"No regrets."
