"Please Val?!" James asked me, for what felt like the thousandth time.

Let me introduce myself, I'm Valerie McHue. I live in The Palm Woods with my parents and I'm living my dream of acting. I'm best friends with the boys of Big Time Rush, especially James. Not only because I've had a major crush on him since I moved here, but from the moment we met we clicked. Right now he's asking me to help him ask out another girl. I know what you're thinking, 'Why would the Love Doctor need help asking a girl out?', James always wants to know what girls are thinking about, or what they find annoying, or something along those lines, so he asks me all those things so he can ask a girl out. I didn't mind it at first, but now it feels like every three seconds he's asking me for help with a girl. It's starting to get on my nerves.

"No, James. I'm tired of playing Cupid for you." I said walking towards the pool.

"C'mon, please! This will be the last time, I promise!" He begged walking right next to me.

"That's what you said last time. And the time before that, and the time before that." I stated sitting down on one of the pool chairs.

"But this will be the last time!" James pleaded.

"James, I'm done." I said seriously.

James grabbed my hand, causing a chill to go up my arm, "Please Valerie. This is the last time."

I looked into his eyes and I knew he was dead serious.

I sighed and sat up, "What do you need?"

He smiled his gorgeous all teeth smile and continued, "How am I supposed to ask her to be my girlfriend?"

"What is she like?"

"She's stubborn, but sensitive, she has a smile that can light up an entire city, her eyes brighten when she's happy, but they darken when she's sad. Her laugh is contagious to everyone, she even makes Mr. Bitters smile everyone once in a while. She can be a jerk, but she is also one of the most caring people I know. She is sarcastic, hilarious, smart, and the most perfect girl on the face of the planet." He finished, still looking right into my eyes.

"It sounds like your in love." I forced myself to smile.

He smiled, "I think I am."

"Well, I think you should just ask her. Be yourself, I know she'll say yes."

"Thank you so much, Val. I'll ask her tonight. I better go get ready." He said giving me a kiss on the cheek and running into the building.

I continued fake smiling until I saw him get into the elevator. I got off of the chair and into the pool. I swam around before dunking my head so no one would notice the one tear that strolled down my cheek.

It was now 9 and I was sitting in my apartment, watching TV alone. I was still upset about James, but I wouldn't let him see it. If he was happy, I would be happy too. Maybe.

There was a knock on my door, so I walked over to the door and opened it. It was James.

I looked at him confused, "Hey James, uh, come in."

He walked into the living room with me following him. I turned off the TV so it would be quiet.

"What's wrong, did she say no?" I asked sitting next to him on the couch.

"No, I didn't ask her yet." James said looking a little sad.

"What are you waiting for?"

James sighed and looked at me, "What if she doesn't like me back? We've been friends for awhile, but what if she just wants to be friends?"

"She won't say no, James. Trust me." I said.

He smiled at me, "Okay. I'm gonna go ask her now."

"Good luck." I said squeezing his hand reassuringly.

He put a determined look on his face and walked out of the apartment. I sighed and rested my head on the back of the couch. A couple of minutes later there was another knock on the door, so I walked over and opened it, it was James. Again.

"Can I come in?" He asked looking at me.

I nodded and opened the door wider so he could get in. He walked into the middle of the room, and turned to face me. I shut the door and walked over to him.

"What are you doing here?" I asked confused.

"Doing what you said."

I started talking but he took both of my hands and looked into my eyes.

"Valerie McHue, I love you more than words can say. Will you be my girlfriend?"

I gasped, wide-eyed. He was talking about me down at the pool.

"Of course I'll be your girlfriend James." I said smiling.

He smiled and kissed me.

~10 Years Later~

"Valerie McHue, do you take James Diamond as your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do." I said smiling.

"James Diamond, do you take Valerie McHue as your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do." James said beaming.

"Then I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."

James dipped me and kissed me, causing an eruption of cheers and whistles, loudest being the rest of Big Time Rush.

And at that moment I, Valerie McHue, became Valerie Diamond, and never had to play Cupid again.
