- I wrote a totally different ending. In fact, it spanned four chapters and went deeper into other aspects of the story. Ultimately, I felt it lagged, therefore I decided against it. This ending was the ORIGINAL ending, then I wrote the alternative long ending, then scrapped it and ended with the original ending.
- This story was supposed to be written from Wen and Pest's POV. In fact, in my original idea for it, Fanli didn't exist.
- Fan's character came to be due to criticisms. Most critiques I've had thus far described my writing as unsophisticated (not poetic enough). I agree. I just don't have that style. But the first line came to me and I wondered who would find that beautiful and so the story came to be.
- The original idea had the story take place and end on Pyer's Peak. Try as I might (and I tried OFTEN in the back end), I could not justify them getting up there.
- Some aspects of this book will be addressed in the bonus chapters for the original 'The Hunchback's Reluctant Bride." But because it's been submitted to the watty's, I'm unable to make changes or additions just yet.
- I've still got extra chapters hanging out on my HD but not sure if I should adapted them into bonuses or not. I might.
- Originally, I'd hesitated to follow through with writing Fanli's character. More than one person had compared "The Hunchback's Reluctant Bride" to Shrek and did not want to further fuel that by making a story about an ogre. But then I decided YOLO, so here we are.
- This is still the first draft and I hope to revise it at least one more time.
