- Orion's POV -
Dawn soon had approached the dark, smoky looking sky. Today, everyone had to band together, share their ideas for our plan to terminate two large problems. Plum had full control over the organization of such an important meeting.
Nearly everyone was here, just Tachi running a little behind. Plum stood with her hands planted on the long, dark table, covered in dinged papers with faces of everyone we knew, words, and a map of the area. Vulx had carried a blueprint but has yet to reveal what it is, standing to the right of Plum.
I stood tall, hands behind my back, continuing to observe everyone's positions and short murmurs. To the right of Plum stood Vulx and Spear, and to her left was Echo. A click from the cabin door had sounded, and Tachi had finally arrived. He walked calmly over to my left, and observed by my side.
"Alright.." Plum announced, staring right back at the eyes that surrounded her. "I brought you all here for a meeting for a reason you have been told before. We must create a plan to try and stop Solio and Ozone before it is too late."
"Your ideas, Orion. Tell me what you think first." She continued. I cleared my throat to announce. "We have a great few threats we have to face. A plan too simple could fail, a plan too complex could also fail. We need a weapon."
"Well of course we need a weapon." Spear budded bluntly. "More than a weapon, do you have something like that?" He glared deep into my eyes, but I was unphased by his brusque tone. "That's where I was going. A lighter, thinner weapon. The technology I believe may work may not be obtainable, let alone agreeable."
Echo rubbed his eyes a little, groggy. "Er... what is the technology?" He muttered, scratching behind his ear. I stiffened, I knew the tech Solio had once used, I didn't want to ever dare involve myself in her ideas, but she captured me. "...implant-based technology."
Various responses rippled through the cabin, many unhappy. I gave a light glance at Vulx, who did not speak, he was based off of implant technology, too. I listened in to the rabble-rouse, "Technology has nearly always been a curse!" Spear grumbled, "We couldn't ever find materials..." said Echo. Tachi looked uneasy, but nor did he speak.
"Hush!" Plum broke the fraught of the meeting and held her claws high in the air, nearly scraping the ceiling. "Orion states a good point, but we must hear everyone. Your opinions are valid, but I must insist you all have patience. I understand the struggles now and soon to come. For me and the greater of all of you, please." She lowered her arm and looked over at Spear. "You?"
He grumbled something under his breath and shuffled through the papers till he found a paper with my face etched out in ink. "If all these stories provide true, you would know Solio the best. You will lead us to her, at the front, we have weaponry, melee and range, not any of this advanced junk you're sputtering." He gritted his teeth, but I still did not feel any way threatened. I understand why he is, though, it is simple protection.
"Spear.." I had started, "I cannot let myself be put on the frontline. I lack an implant and I get weaker as the days go past without one. I can lead you to her with signs I know, but I cannot just know her pinpoint location." To my response, Spear snorted, "Guessed you'd be so used to killing in cold blood, to die yourself defending this place.. shouldn't be an issue for you.."
The room was a little shaken and startled by his thorny remark, everyone exchanged glances, including me. Plum had dead-eye'd him, "...Spear... please... watch what you say." She whispered, just enough to be heard, but he didn't respond.
Plum cleared her throat, glanced at all of those who hadn't discussed, and turned back to Echo. "Me?" He pointed at himself, and she nodded.
"Alright... I didn't really have much of an idea honestly, but I'll say this. Orion's idea is good, but we don't know much on how to make something like that work.""Well," I continued, "I said previously how being packed near Solio and in her control, I know how she creates her tech. There's one fault though, its implant based, I do not believe it would be very easy at all to get one." Echo looked down at the table with all the faces. He dragged out Solio, and it was difficult not being angry even just thinking about her.
"...Hmmm.." Vulx peered through the murmuring. "The best place to find those implants is the ruins, but Solio might have already shuffled through the rubble to find all of the working ones..." We all stood stumped on how we would dare find the technology. "It's too risky going out there, and we have no way of creating something equal to her power."
"Doesn't Spear own a necklace with it?" Tachi added, a little blunt. He huffed, clearly running short on patience. "Do you have any idea what you're talking about?! Using MY dead lover to fuel some tool that probably wouldn't work on your behalf! What do you even know about using implants for weaponry!?" Spear bellowed. Tachi crossed his arms, "What tells you I don't know?"
"Both of you!" Plum hissed, "Now is not the time! We have to agree on something!" Spear still stood, an aura of irritation radiated near him, and Tachi looked upset too. "All hands that vote for Orion's weaponry plan, raise." Slowly the hands of Echo, Tachi, and Plum peered above all.
Spear rumbled deep in his throat, upsetted. "Fine." He gave up, agreeing to work along with it, seeing he probably didn't have much of a choice now. I stood tall, hands behind my back, observing. "Vulx." Plum addressed, "You and Orion will blueprint out a weapon idea, but before that, how will we find Solio safely?"
"I mean..." Echo started, "The best way I can think of is searching, she'll try to ambush us, but one of us has to be aware, and catch her before she kills anyone." Tachi looked down at the table, "It'd be difficult not being killed, y'know." Echo ran his hands through the fur on his head, "Obviously, yeah, but eyes on all sides, Solio has to be spotted at least once, right?"
"We need D'Mantis." Plum burst out suddenly, and the room shifted. "What?" I quizzed, and Plum tapped her claws on the paper right over his face in ink. "You heard me. He could lead us right to her. He could easily be dead, does anybody know his status?"
"...I do." Tachi responded. "Hes often out in Darkwoods up north. I talked to him, he told me he had saw terrors beyond Darkwoods, and he might be referring to Solio." Plum loomed over the table, pulled out the tinged map, and drew her ice-blue claws up by Darkwoods. "I don't think anyone but D'Man has been up there. He knows where Solio lays."
"Well then you heard me right." Plum looked at everyone and stated once more,
"We need D'Mantis."
