Please remember that this story is solely fictional. Although Will is a real person, none of the events described in this story are real; it's called fan fiction for a reason. So, the Will Jay in the story is not a real person, he is only a character based off of Will Jay.
With that being said, if anything in this story doesn't match up with who Will is as a person and where he comes from or how he feels, please excuse it. I don't want to get complaints about how the Will Jay in the story doesn't match up with the real Will Jay.
