Tamaki Amajiki X Autistic Male Reader

Your fingers thumped rhythmically against the table top as you listened to Mirio and Nejire ramble on and on about quirks, internships and just life as a hero. Don't get you wrong you thoroughly enjoyed these conversations and liked to listen so you can take notes and be able to bring it back up in a conversation without seeming silly or sounding stupid about the whole thing. However, right now, your focus was hyper fixated on Amajiki. You liked the way his name sounds when you say it out loud or in your head. It had a nice ring to it. You also, really liked his nature as well. He was very shy, had low self esteem about his quirk and always wanted to go home. He had no reason to have low self esteem because he is in fact part of the big three, he's one of the top three strongest students in all of U.A. As if U.A already wasn't an accomplishment in itself, he got accepted into the most competitive program a.k.a the hero program but, he brought it a step forward by becoming one of the strongest students even stronger than half the pro heroes. That's amazing and something to be confident about.

"Y/N, what do you think about Nejire's special attack." You blinked zoning back into the conversation

"I'm sorry I am not sure what you guys were talking about. Can you please say it again." Before Nejire can talk, Mirio beat her to the punch.

"I was saying what do you think about her energy waves, do you think they can work with my special power move?" You hummed thinking about it for a few glancing over at Amajiki who was staring at you waiting for you to talk. When it was just you guys, he was much more relaxed and confident as well. He didn't stutter much or even mumble. You were able to always hear him clearly no matter the topic of the conversation.

"I think it has potential a lot of it. She is able to make high frequency shockwaves so I think if she is able to control them enough to push you at your strongest whether your permeation is being used or not you can essentially create a punch shockwave that can knock out the enemy as well as any other opponents within 10km regardless of their size. The only issue would be if the villain has a nullification quirk or an erasure like quirk like Aizawa Sensei." All three of them blinked at you before Nejire shrieked and squeezed you into a hug. She always had a habit of suffocating you, her and Mirio to be fair. You liked the pressure from the hugs but, it was a little better when it came from Amajiki.

"You're so amazing! That's actually a really good point. Are you sure you don't have two quirks?" You smiled a bit looking off to the side to avoid any prolonged eye contact. It made you nervous but, with Amajiki you'll make an exception. Hopefully, your slight obsession with the elf-eared boy wasn't too noticeable or making anyone uncomfortable. That's the last thing that you wanted to do.

"Well, two quirks would be pretty cool right? Imagine having an analysis quirk on top of a strength quirk? That's a force to be reckoned with. Having an IQ of 160 and higher as well as physical strength? There has to be someone like that out there." They nodded in agreement including Amajiki which made you happy. You always loved when Amajiki would agree with you about anything or everything. In your head and book it meant you were doing something right and that Amajiki did in fact like you a lot. That was the goal.

"I agree, there has to be someone...I think that could be you! What do you think Amajiki?" All three of you turned to the boy who coughed into his hand at the sudden attention on him.

"...It could be true because it takes a genius to be able to be at the top of the class, even higher than the big three. That's something to be very proud of." He gave you a small smile making you get butterflies in your stomach. At least, that's what your mom said it was, when you get a nervous bundle in your chest and tummy but, you're smiling it means someone you like did something that made you happy.

"Ah, t-thank you Ama." You smiled right back at him missing the blush across his nose and cheeks. Apparently, Mirio and Nejire saw and decided that something all of a sudden came up.

"Hey guys, me and Nejire are going to go get food, we will be back." Mirio grabbed Nejire by the hand and dragged her away towards the U.A dorms leaving the two of you alone. Your heart started pounding a bit trying to come up with anything to say.

"I like you." You choked on the words and looked at Ama who was staring at you in shock, eyes wide. Ah, you might have messed up something good. "That was blunt, but, I was taught to be honest about my feelings...so...I like you a lot and would like to....date you....like go out as boyfriends? If that's something you would like..." You were scared to look at him and felt like you were about to have a panic attack. Maybe that was the wrong thing to say, maybe you should not have said anything. You always messed up things and you didn't have a good grasp on emotions and feelings because they were too complicated to understand.

"If you're serious, yes, I would like to be your boyfriend." You turned to him to look at him. You wanted to make sure that this was not a joke. You did not like jokes being played on you. It was not nice and it hurt your feelings.

"Are you being serious?" He wasn't mean but, you wanted to make sure.

"Yes...I am serious. I was just scared to ask because I didn't think you would like me that way but, I'm glad I was wrong." He smiled at you holding out his hand to you. You looked at it before grabbing it gently lacing your fingers together.

"Can we go slow? I don't know anything about relationships. You are my first boyfriend." Amajiki looked at you surprised before smiling gently.

"We can take all the time that you need. There is no rush." You nodded squeezing his hand in thanks. This was something you can get used to
