As Caleb drove Leah and I home, I couldn't help but stare at his features.

"Stop staring," he said as I turned my attention to the windscreen.

"I wasn't," I replied but he gave a skeptical look.

"Okay I won't tease you about this as long as you tell me about that friend of yours," he said gripping on the sterling.

"Who Leah?" I asked as I glanced at her unconscious body.
After crying all her tears out, she felt sleepy and slept on Caleb on the field.
Caleb had cradled her body all the time as I tried to get a hold of her parents because it was now late and they would automatically worry about her.

"Yes." he answered shortly.
"You actually owe me after I explained to you the whole why I play football secretly."

He actually had a point.
"First thing she is a good girl but I have a mid-life crisis to think about my two now friends dating," I said wrinkling my nose.

"Just tell her that I'm dying to get inside her pants," he said his tone making him sinister.

"Dully noted," I said looking at a sleeping Leah.

"This is the house" I said the car stalling.

"Do you need help with her?" he asked his eyes lighting at Leah.

"And risk her parents seeing you, no thank you," I said nonchalantly.

"Leah wake up," I shook her gently.
She snorted as she turned to face me.
Her eyes glimmered with tears as she stared at me.

"He betrayed me," she whispered.
I felt my heart shatter as I stared at her broken self.
She was vulnerable just like Ryan.

She threw herself on my arms crying all over again.
Caleb walked to the car and she threw herself on Caleb muttering a number a profanities.
I now understood why Ryan was as cold as he was.
If love would make Leah turn into a mess, I wondered what Ryan felt.

"Mommy I'm home," I called after the stairs assuming she was upstairs.
