Midori P.O.V
"What are you doing", I ask.
Melody slowly opens her eyes staring at me with a shocked expression.
"Midori", she calls. She hugs me crying into my shirt.
"What has gotten into you", I ask.
"I thought I lost you", she replies.
"Huh?"
"You weren't there, so I thought he got you already".
"You are pretty dumb are you?" "Did you care to check around before freaking out?"
"Don't judge okay", Melody says.
"Come out come out wherever you are", the demon says.
Melody holds onto my hands tightly and stays as quiet as possible.
A huge wind of heat brushes against my skin. 'If you don't come out I will burn you to a crisp". 'I will be having a nice dinner tonight". "Baked chicken".
I look at Melody and smile. "Stay here", I mouth to Melody. "I'll be right back". She lets go of my hand allowing me to leave freely.
"Over here", I yell. "Come and get me you stupid piece of-". "SHIT".
The demon slashes at me scaring the crap out of me. I glance at Melody slightly telling her to make a break for it.
She nods then take off running to the door. "Where do you think you are going", a demon says stopping Melody.
I quickly grab a chair and slam it on the demon's face. "Run Melody NOW", I yell running towards her. She runs out the door along with me. I grab her hand and run faster.
Melody P.O.V
"Midori", I call. "I think it is safe for us to stop running",
Midori suddenly stops and turns to me. Her eyes is watery. "Your not hurt are you", she ask.
"Yeah", I reply. "What's wrong with you Mido-".
She hugs me quickly. She's TREMBLING!
"Midori you're trembling in fear", I inform.
"I was afraid", she says. "I was afraid to lose you". "I was afraid to die leaving you behind". "So many things went through my head as I was yelling in front of the demon".
"Midori but I'm here now", I reply. I hold my arm to stop the blood from falling from my arm.
Back then when Midori slammed the chair in the demon's face, he scratched me leaving some kind of symbol on my arm. I can't make it obvious that I'm hurt or Midori will go back and kick all those demons butt.
Midori lets go of me and start to walk forward. "Come on", Midori says. "Family must be worried about us you know".
"What about Mai", I ask. "What are we going to yell her family".
"That she died of course", Midori replies.
"No we can't then they will start asking questions", I say. "People may end up dead".
"Your right", Midori says. "Well we just don't tell them". "Let them ask questions thinking Mai has disappeared". "We can just play along".
"But that's lying", I say.
"Yeah but were doing it for a good cause", she says. "Do you really want to tell her parents that she died by getting pulled through the ground by Kevin's dead body".
"NO". "So just pretend like you don't know what happened to Mai or where she is".
