January 19th
Today was Saturday. But I had to wake up early which wasn't very nice. I had extra choreography for our choir show first thing in the morning. This choir show is becoming more like a play or show, just mostly singing instead of acting. At nine a.m. Frost, Kira and I walked to the classroom we practiced in on the forth floor. (From there we had easy acess to the passage way to Hogsmade, so we would could sneek out easily.)
The dance to our song was fun and exciting. Jeff, the choreographer even asked me to dance with all the really good dancers, seniors (and Kira was aslo in the group too because she is amazing at singing and dancing!) It was nice to be apart of that. If ou didn't know, I relly like to be the center of attantion. Yeah, I know it's surprising. Me, Virginia, the center of attention!
Anyway, after learning the dance by copying Kira most every time, I learned the rest of the dance and I preformed as best as I could! I'm really excited when we preform for the whole school and even some people from Hogsmade and maybe some parents. This will be at the end of February, (my birthday month!) So we don't have much time to loose! We still have a lot to learn. I got another short solo for a song about food. I get to dress up as a chef! I am very thrilled about that. I would like to have more, I want to be on stage as much as possible! But I'm sure lots of people do too. I'm willing to take turnes and share... maybe.
As antisapated, Frost Kira and I escaped through the passage behind the statue of Gregory the Smarmy as we always do. We did the usualy, walk around talking about boys and eatting food. But we realized there was something off about this trip. The snow was beginning to melt. I didn't need all the coats and scarves I love to wear. That made me sad. Then we had a crazy idea.
The snow slush was melted in a puddle all over the streets and fields around the town. To celebrate this new warmth, why didn't we have a snow slush party? Great Idea! We stripped off our coats and scarves until we were in our bare clothes. Sure, it was cold and we wern't exactally what you call dressed, but jumping in the puddles and getting all wet was fun! Sure, the water was as cold as ice and we probably will get very very sick. Sure, this was compleatly insane having a party outside a town in our bare clothes, BUT, it was fun! Who can say they did what we did? No one I know but Frost, Kira and I.
When we realized what a stupid idea this was, we walked back through the passage gripping our coats to our wet bodies. We managed to make it to our dorn safe and sound and alone, thank goodness! We all threw on clothes and settled down. I needed some down time.
Safe and sound,
-Virginia
