𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐄𝐄 ┊ FEVER

Amidst the night, Ren who was quietly crawling to Haru's bed was trying to wake him up.

After a few more minutes, haruchiyo felt his son's presence beside him so he immediately stood up and carried him.

"What is it Re-"

"Shit! Are you okay?" he felt that Ren's body temperature was hot so he rushed to his drawer and took his thermometer.

"38.7? What should I do?" Haruchiyo's gaze fell on Aiko who was comfortably sleeping on the bed.

He sighed. "Looks like Dada will be the one who'll accompany you tonight, ren" Ren simply nodded, he was trying to hold back his tears.

Haruchiyo walked downstairs while carrying ren in his arms. He let him sit on his chair and prepared something for him. Ren was just looking at Haru who was cooking a porridge.

"Here" haruchiyo sat beside Ren and started feeding him after the porridge heated down.

"Yummy?" Ren slightly nodded while taking a bite.

After finishing the porridge, Haruchiyo took something from the cabinet, the medicines.

"Uh.. for a fever.. where's that medicine.." haruchiyo whispered while looking at the medicines.

"Maybe this" he picked it up and walked back to Ren while holding a tablet of medicine.

He's about to give ren the tablet medicine when he realized something.

"Wait"

"The water," he added.

He took a glass of water and gave the medicine to Ren. He's wondering why is ren just staring at the tablet and not taking it. So he opened his phone and immediately called Koko.

Unfortunately, he's not answering so he spammed him with messages and called him continuously.

"What the hell man? I'm trying to sleep here peacefully but my phone kept on ringing" kokonoi answered the call irritatingly.

"Calm your shit down, I just wanna ask you something," haruchiyo said through the phone.

"Bro, it's 12:45 you know" Koko replied in a boring tone.

"I know that's why I called you"

Kokonoi hissed over the phone, "I swear if it doesn't make any sense I'll bury you alive"

"Scary, but I want to ask you why Ren just keeps on staring at the tablet medicine and not taking it? Should I feed it to him?"

Silence remained. Kokonoi's sigh was heard through the line.

"Bro.."

"Bro.."

"WHAT THE FUCK?" kokonoi cursed.

"Your child is only 3? And you're trying to make him swallow that fucking tablet medicine? Now I feel bad for your child" he added.

"Oh Shut up" haruchiyo looked at his son who was gazing up at him while talking to kokonoi with his phone.

"No, take that fucking medicine away from him, who knows that might be one of your vitamins" kokonoi let a sigh.

Haruchiyo took the medicine away from ren and checked his forehead. His body temperature didn't change even a little bit.

"Now, find those syrup medicines for him you fucker" haruchiyo found a bottle of medicine for ren's fever and he gave him the syrup.

After ren took the medicine, haruchiyo thanked kokonoi for teaching him things like that. Kokonoi just let a sigh and then hung up.

Haruchiyo gently wiped ren's body with a towel at moderate temperature to lower or dissipate ren's fever. Ren was trying his best not to cry. Haruchiyo realized that and patted ren's head.

"It's okay to cry ren, you're such a good boy." haruchiyo said realizing that the reason ren was trying his best not to make a noise was that he was trying not to wake his mother because his mother took care of him all day and he didn't want to interrupt his mother's rest.

"Such a good boy, now sleep, dada's here" haruchiyo was carrying him in his arms, rocking him after he checked ren's temperature, and his fever is starting to go down.

Ren fell asleep so haru brought him back upstairs and laid him beside her mother. He adjusted their blanket and sat down beside them, he stayed awake for almost 4 hours looking after them. After he checked ren's temperature, he felt so relieved after knowing that Ren's fever was gone.

Haruchiyo fell asleep leaning on the bed while sitting on the floor. Suddenly, he felt like someone gave him a blanket and covered his back. He slightly opened his eyes and saw Ren.

It was almost 5 am and Ren was already awake, Ren was the one who gave haruchiyo the blankets. He smiled.

But haruchiyo's eyes widened after Ren kissed his cheeks and patted his head.

"Thwangkyou dada!" Ren said and then hugged haru.

Haruchiyo got up and carried Ren to their bed. He laid him there, between him and Aiko.

"Now, let's sleep." haruchiyo said and then they fell asleep again.

That morning, Aiko, who woke up earliest among them three, was wondering what happened in the kitchen after seeing many medicines at the table.

"Haruchiyo"

"I thought you already stop taking 'your vitamins' huh" Aiko smirked like she was about to murder someone.

She misunderstood the situation and thought that haru was still on drugs.

"I'll wait till you woke up and let you show me how high you are" she smirked.
