The next day I arrived at work by taxi. There was absolutely no desire togo with the bus in the morning. As a result, I was late for work for the first time because the taxi driver could not find my house. Yoohyeon, who was systematically late and also systematically received fines for this, was very surprised when she saw me getting out of the taxi.

- Did your car break down?" asked she instead of greeting.

- No, someone propped me up yesterday and I couldn't leave," I grumbled, dusting off my pants," these taxi drivers don't wash their cars at all?

- And you just left the car in the parking lot?" the girl did not calm down, not paying attention to my indignation.

- Yes, the signal did not work, and the owner's phone was not there," I decided not to devote my friend to all the intricacies of yesterday's incident.

- These people," Yoohyeon shook her head," are you going to talk with miss Kim?

- Yes. But I can't make up my mind," I honestly admitted.

- What is there to decide? Say that you work well, there are no complaints, you are an excellent employee and a candidate for this position.

- Besides me, there are many other excellent employees. Which, by the way, have been working here longer than me.

- You are smart. And pretty. Unlike the rest.

- This is more likely a minus than a plus. The head of the department in ripped jeans and a T-shirt. Excellent.

-Okay, You will think about it, "I replied, waving my hand.

In fact, I was scared to go to miss Kim after yesterday. What if her daughter told her something. Although she is unlikely to tell her that her mother's subordinate refused to go on a date with her. But still.

For two days, I mustered up the courage to go to the boss and propose my candidacy. Strength was given by the fact that all this time I watched colleagues go to her monastery. Moreover, it looked very standard. The dressed-up young lady approached the office door, greeted the secretary, who immediately reported her, exhaled, nodded to herself, put on the happiest smile that her face could only, and knocked on the door. Then, looking in, and, apparently, receiving permission to enter, the girl entered the office. I don't know what was going on there, but someone came out sad, someone thoughtful, and someone mysterious. After looking at this circus, I decided that, in general, I am the worse.

And only I was thinking on Friday when I should go to her, before lunch or after, as the secretary told me on the internal phone that miss Kim was calling me. I was even confused. It would be funny if she now fired me because of her beloved daughter or for something fined, and I was here to go to her for a promotion.

After doing the same manipulations as all the girls, sighing, nodding and smiling, which probably turned out very badly, I knocked on the door.

- Miss Kim? Have you called me?

- Yes, come in, Siyeon.

I went into the office, closing the door behind me. I sat down on the chair pointed out by the boss. She went to the mini-bar and opened it. I looked at my watch. Eleven in the morning. Not too early?

- Will you have a drink?" she asked, taking out two glasses.

- No, thanks," it was not enough to get drunk at work in the morning. I understand it's Friday, but ... at least at lunchtime.

- The conversation will be serious, you'd better have a drink," she decided, filling the glasses with amber liquid. Why did you ask then?

Miss Kim handed me a drink, at the bottom of which were two ice cubes. Probably whiskey. I practically don't drink, so I don't know much about alcohol.
