'I, Naruto Uzumaki, have made friends with a banshee.' I thought as I walked along the shore, waves crashing, making music for the ears of nature. As people walked by me, I grined at them with a hug grin that people just snarled at and then start whispering while they thought I was out of hearing range. This made my eye's go cold and I stared at the water watching as shells were washed to shore and then grasped by the ocean powerful grasp. It calmed me and then I shut my eyes as the water gently pulled me, in, sucking the negitive thoughts out of my head filling it with thoughts that needed and loved.
*Flash back*
After I yelled and scolded Karuma for teasing me, AGAIN, I snapped out of my trans to see that Sakura was looking at me again with intensity and suspicion. Why is she looking at me like that...? I gulped hard and then looked back and forth at the ground then back a Sakura, but I was mostly looking anywhere but Sakura.
"Umm...yes Sakura-chan?" I said nervously while sweat dropping. I knew she probably saw me sweating super hard and that made even more nervous about my situation.
"Why are you so quiet?" She said while she narrowed her eye's suspiciously.
"I was thinking..." I said while thinking hard of a lie without it looking like I was searching for a lie. "...do you think Sasuke has also warmed up to me? I like having a rival and all, or having someone someone to challenge myself with or have the goal to be better than someone, helping myself get stronger, but I mean, can't we be at least be friendemey's? Like not rivals but not, you know, best friends?" I started scratching my head and mixing up my words. I think I was rambling and Sakura could tell how nervous I was. I knew she could tell.
Sakura looked like she was about to speak but then we heard the academy bell ring. She then cursed herself off harshly and then grabbed my hand and started to dragged me to class the same way she dragged me away from the villagers.
Sakura slammed open the classroom door open, scaring poor Iruka sensei. Iruka sweat dropped then he got himself together and then looked at us with a annoyed, twitching smile that didn't necessarily hide the fact he was surprised. "Sakura.... Naruto.... You interrupted my teaching... Please go sit down! You will be staying after class and organizing scrolls for more than a hour and writing a essay about never being late to class again. Sit down. NOW."
Sakura flinched at the sudden yell of her sensei and then looked at the ground in shame and disappointment in herself. I, however, would have had scoffed because of the fake personality that masks my real personality, but for some reason, I just didn't feel like it.
"Yes, Iruka sensei. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. We ran into trouble on the way and bumped into a old lady who had groceries. We didn't want to be rude so we helped her and tried to get to class in time but it is quite obvious that we didn't make it in time. I am truly sorry and I assume Sakura is too." I bowed and answered Iruka's outbreak with a calm fake explanation, but the way I said it made it sound true, to the point where I would believe it if I hadn't been the one making up the lie.
Iruka looked at me in shock and confusion, but nodded briskly. I then, walked calmly to my seat and sat down next to Sasuke to everyone's surprise. It even looked like Sasuke was a bit surprised. He looked at me for a second but then looked away, seemingly thinking not much of it but I could tell he was hard thinking of why I sat next to him. It looked like he had the hardest geometry problem in all a huge test that would tell him if he were to go to the level or not. I laughed inwardly and put my head down on my desk. I then looked up at Iruka sensei who seemed to not care anymore because there were already 3 or so people going to sleep. I turned my head down and drifted off to a soundless sleep.
