The conversation in the car while they were heading to Lonavala was still fresh in her mind, the helplessness in his eyes stated the plight of his heart. 'I don't want people to jinx it' his simple words created a whirl inside of her. She didn't have an explanation then to lessen the burden of this heaviness he was feeling. And now when her self-being was roaming a similar pathway, it troubled her to an extent that she has been silently reciting the verses of Guru Granth Sahib Ji for quite some time now, to make peace within.
Till they entered their respective vanity, she was mighty fine but as the hypothetical picture of the reactions, more on the dismissive side, crossed her stressed out mind it rendered her edgy. Damn the moment she decided to go over social media for some time waiting for her dress to get fixed. She had observed that his side of people were taking least interest for the day's event, and it pained her to see her man getting side-lined by the same people who he keeps on defending for their own good. She was not able to register the mindsets though, again. If a disliking for someone close to your dear one can overpower your love for them, then how can you even call it love? Love, it is supposed be selfless and not judgmental. Just like the one she just received in the form of a message from another mother figure in her life, relatively new but the most benevolent and affectionate. An epitome of love and kindness. They usually go hand-in-hand, don't they? Love and Kindness? Then why people fail to understand this? That the simplest form of love is 'giving'. Giving is a natural response of love. They say, you can give without loving but you can never love without giving. It is not love if it makes you egocentric. Why false claim to love when you can not follow the basic rule of it?
A buzz on her phone breaking her trance.
"Hie baby! All good? Dress set? Any issue there?" He spoke, the queries non-stop rolling out naturally.
"Haan...ready hun...bas paanch minute me niklte hain..." She sighed; her voice trembled with the long breath she released out of her anxiousness.
"You okay....? Hmm?" He asked sensing her heavy sigh over the phone.
"Sidhaaarth...merse nahi hoga..." She murmured under her breath, loud enough to reach him. She was hyperventilating, the nervousness kicking in.
"Kyu nahi hoga darling...sab hoga...aur boht acha hoga...boht acha karegi tu...you get me?" He replied worried, yet the gentle tone intact for her to calm down. He could comprehend the stress in her pleading.
"Yaar...terko pata hai na...phr me kuch bhi bol deti hun flow flow me..." She reasoned-out her insecurities. The only concern for her was him getting attacked for words that she has to say. She was many a times interpreted wrongly by those so called fans and the thought disturbed her not for herself but the repercussions of it all, on Sidharth and his mental peace.
"Haan toh? How does it matter?" He posed with a conviction. It really didn't matter to him now, not anymore. It was high time giving explanation to people without even a need of it. It was their life and hence their choice with whatever would make them happy, it wasn't for the world to decide on their behalf. And the sensible ones would never crib anyway, which was enough for him.
"Phr vahi na...log judge krne lagte hain...bakwas baaton ko utha ke...mudda bana lete hain..." She whined plaintively. It was hard to be on the line of fire all the time with a knowledge that you would be judged even for an inch's movement. She had never cared and will never do for her own repo but Sidharth's standing was way higher a concern for her. Such selflessness is what comes out of true love for someone.
"Face time?" He asked. He needed to look at her face rather she more needed it to settle down her raging spirit, he contemplated.
"Hmm..." she reverted; the excitement to have him seeing her all decked up at once was no more paying a regard for the time being.
