Hope Aflame (Stiles Stilinski)

Chapter 8

Lydia and Alannah had just got done getting ready and were making their way downstairs to wait for Stiles to get there. 

Something came up for Zach so he said he would meet Alannah at the dance. 

She didn't really care either way. 

There is a knock on Alanna's front door so she moves quickly to let Stiles in however she is surprised to come face to face with Noah. 

"Hey." he states quietly. 

"Umm, hi." she replies unsure of why he was here. 

"I just came by to let you know that I'm leaving, like for good. I'm gonna go live with my dad for some time." he explains to her why he's here.

 "Noah.. I never wanted you to actually leave. I was upset. You can stay you don't hav-" Alannah starts but is cut off by him.

 "This decision had nothing to do with you and what happened to us. My mom and I have been discussing this for some time, this move could help me with getting more attention from scouts for lacrosse. Here I'll always be competing with Jackson, Danny, and it pains me to say this but Scott McCall. At Williams I'll be the only star on the team. This could help my family out a lot financially." he continues to explain to the blonde. 

"I-I.. didn't know. I wish you would have told me beforehand. Noah, I'm gonna miss you." Alannah tells him truthfully. 

While she still dislikes Noah for what he did she knows that a small part of her will always remember the times when things were good for them. 

They were each other's first with everything so one can see how much they mean to each other.

 In that moment Noah pulls her into him for one last longing hug. 

The pair are pulled out of their hug when Stiles clears his throat making his presence known at the door. 

He is very curious as to why Noah is here. 

He wants to make sure he doesn't do anything to Alannah again. 

Noah turns around to face Stiles giving him a once over. 

He begins to walk away but Alannah pulls him back placing a soft kiss on his cheek. 

"Take care." she says as a stray tear falls down her cheek. 

Noah wipes it away, squeezing her hand in return.

 "You too." 

"Well, that was dramatic." Lydia says, causing Alannah to playfully glare at her friend. 

Lydia sure knows how to ruin the mood. 

"You know I'm sure he will be just fine. Now Stiles, are you ready to take us to the dance?" Lydia asks, acknowledging the Stilinski boy for the first time ever. 

"Umm yeah, of course." Stiles stumbles with his words causing Alannah to chuckle lightly. 

"You both look amazing by the way." he states as he helps the girls get into his Jeep. 

"We know." Lydia says the same time Alannah says "Thank you."

 "You look really nice to Stiles." Alannah speaks, trying to compliment the guy since he was giving them a free ride.

Once they arrive at the school Lydia notices Jackson so she walks over to talk to him. 

"Jackson. You look handsome." Lydia compliments.
